Game #15 New Orleans Pelicans @ Utah Jazz -- Sat. Nov. 28th @ 7pm MST

I never get to watch full games, but have we seen a salute this season?
Ya he has done one so far.
I don't remember what he did though. Just remember his salute slowed him down and he didn't get back on defense and the other team scored lol

On both jumpers lyles made so far he shot the ball quickly and then right when it left his hands he was starting to move down the court.
Then in his three point miss he shot the ball and stayed where he was with his shooting hand held in place on the follow through and missed it pretty badly.

This is something im going to keep an eye on as the session progresses
I'm sure it has more to do with how the shot felt to him than with how the follow through is impacting the shot. It's an interesting observation, though, and I like your recap of the game.

And he did it while we were down by like 20 points. Worst salute ever.

Anyone notice that sometimes Hood tries to steal his teammates ft's. A few times he does this someone else gets fouled and he will walk to the foul line. He did this to Gobert last night causing the refs to look at the replay to see who got fouled. Lol can't trust those hood rats:)

I think he did it to help facilitate a run, cuz I think the Jazz were actually on a small run when he did it, but they gave up points right away so it ruined any kind of momentum of the salute.

My thoughts exactly. Needs to do it on and ones. I remember Motombo (not sure ha it's spelled) getting burned many times doing his finger wag a few times. Lol

It's possible Quin told him to stop as it caused him not to get back on defense.
I hope not

I love the salute. Plus he can do it while he is on the move. Other guys that stand there and flex, hit their chests, or mean mug seem more detrimental to getting back on defense

didn't see this game. But it seems that Quin more and more is going with the 3 wing lineup. Looking at the box score it shows that Neto and Burke only combined for 32-33 minutes. Was this because of matchups in this game, Burks good play, or is he starting to favor that lineup more?

who got a tech on this play? IMO Joe, and Ajinca and the other Pelican all deserved one. Ajinca should get one just for butting his head into it.

You got it. Ingles, Douglas, and Ajinca got technicals.

It looks to me that Burks is getting more comfortable playing the point and he did a good job on Ish Smith, as well. In fact, the Jazz overall were able to control Smith compared to other teams I have seen against him.

Burke got pulled after a particularly ugly 3 TOs in a row. Neto played a bit in the 4th, but not much.

Pretty cool now that we have 3 wings that can pretty much get their shot when they want it. Over time, should bode really well for closing out games, along with Favs and lobs to Rudy on the menu. Right now as someone else pointed out, they do not work all the well together but time will hopefully correct that.

Good, I thought Ajinca might get away with it like Hibbert did in the pre season. Glad the officials got that right. Honestly Ingles was the one I thought was questionable, he pushed the guy off of himself but really didn't do anything outside the lines or after the play.
