Enes Kanter: Life Unelevated!
Yeah, but no 6'11" player should get blocked like that. I think he's just too slow and casual about shooting, like he's not used to playing with other players that have the ability to block him.
Enes Kanter: Life Unelevated!
I was pulling my hair out with hayward the first half, but have to give the kid some major props! He had a fantastic second half (besides the missed FT). His block on crawford I think won the game for us.
True Life: Kurt Thomas Blocked My Shot
Kurt Thomas couldn't keep Kanter off the glass. That's saying something.
Not going inside other than LMA? Uhh, do you realize that LMA is their only option in the paint? They can't ****ing feed Camby, Wallace was camping on the perimeter, and everyone else was being D'd up. LMA is their main offensive option, and Kanter shut him down. Holy **** AKMVP, you are unbelievable
that's how they run there offense. Aldridge is a perimeter player and only takes it inside if he has a smaller player on him. Matthews and Wallace are their slashers, both were god awful tonight all the other players are jump shooters. Camby, Aldridge, Crawford, Batum, Thomas are all nothing more then jump shooters. That's their offense. They reversed to jumpers in 3 quarter when Kanter was not playing. And it is not only LMA. Nobody from Blazers team was going inside, they all where firing 20-23FT jumpers, LMA included. Kanter played good post defense in 4th but not sure that was the reason Blazers lost. I think Macmillan lost control on his team in second half, I did not see timeouts or change of game plan or any new plays. They got sloppy and could not match Jazz energy thanks to Watson - he is MVP of this game.
True Life: I Out-rebounded a 40 Year Old
Yeah, but no 6'11" player should get blocked like that. I think he's just too slow and casual about shooting, like he's not used to playing with other players that have the ability to block him.
40-year old professional rebounder who is not used to getting bowled over by young players
I think there is a lot of truth to this. Josh Harellson, who played with Kanter at Kentucky, called Enes "a freak athlete." Either he is an absolute liar, or he saw something in practices that Enes has not transferred to real games.
Dude, relax, you do not understand me. Have you seen at least a single drive in the paint by their guards or SF, any slash to the basket?? It is not about feeding the post players only, it is about getting layups by guards or SF as well. Blazers did not do that - their all team was chucking jumpers all second half. Look at %, Jazz shot horrible and only because of offensive rebounding and steals were able to squeeze this win. It is pure effort win where shooting ( including FT shooting) sucked but was compensated by energy/hustle plays. Ugly as hell but a win is a win.
If you rematch the game, these lanes that opened up the slashing through the paint opened up AS A RESULT of the team focusing on shutting down aldridge. When the team found out that Kanter could hold Aldridge onto his own, then everyone else focused on their own assignments, and our defense thrived because of it. The jumpshots towards the end occurred because they spent 12 seconds on the clock trying to give aldridge good post position, and kanter wouldn't have any of it. Go and rematch the 4th quarter. Perfect example was in the 4th, when LMA was fed, and then Kanter swatted it away, but got charged in the foul. That play was run strictly for LMA, and it took Felton (or Jamal, forget who) like 4-5 seconds of waiting until LMA was in a good position to get it, only to have it swatted away.
Also, tell me: who led our team in offensive rebounds?
Kanter and Watson were the two keys to this game. The fact that you haven't complimented Kanter once so far is proof that you're just a garbage poster.
