Watching the game now. I was tired and went to bed at halftime. Anyway, I like some close losses like this. It's showing we're competitive and personally, I'd like to win some but only every so often to build confidence and show progress (29 win pace compared to 25 last year) while still losing the majority of them to also help with the tank.
As a tangential point, our point differential this year is -2.9 which is 9th worst in the league. Last year it was -7.2 which was third worst in the league. That's a monumental difference and shows just how much more competitive we are on a night in night out basis this season. To me, in the western conference, as the third youngest team in the entire NBA, with one of our top five scorers (Burks) going down for the year and Hood pretty much being MIA due to injuries too, AND with a new system to learn, that's really pretty impressive.
This season is going exactly to plan imo. Noticeable individual and team growth yet still in it to get a very high draft pick.
