What's new

GameTHREAD: Wed - Nov. 20th – 6pm ROOT --- JAZZ@ Pelicans

Watching Ty coach really makes me wonder if Ty thinks he will be back next year and really wants to coach Wiggins or Parker.

Serious? Do you know what his injury was? To not play Burke is inexcusable. It's ridiculous. It's...vintage Ty.

*in Ty's mind*

"Everyone and their dog would put Burke back in. Instead, I'll throw them a curve ball and play a DLeaguer instead. Brilliant!!!"

While you and I are on the same side on this topic you really do yourself no favors.

Its a crime against Jazz fans everywhere that jefferson played more than 41 minutes. Jefferson is not the future. Corbin has to understand he is digging his own grave. We lose if we play Jefferson and we lose if we don't play Jefferson. Why not play the young guys? Development, Development, Development.

Other than Hayward complete heaping garbage game, and Corbin's head scratching decisions on playing time I really liked the way the Jazz played.

Kanter=Awesome
Burke=hope
Evans=fun
Favors=solid
Burks=human highlight (but no jump shot)

Burks and Jeffersons stats are virtually the same this year. There is no advantage to playing rjeff

Although we agree I would phrase it a little differently. Its a huge freakin mistake to play Jefferson 41 minutes. Its a huge disadvantage to play Jefferson and not Burks.

Burke was great, Hayward again made himself look increasingly pedestrian, Kanter had a bounce I haven't seen all year, and the Jazz lost. What is there to complain about?

Yup.

Though I guess if you want hayward at the 2 then ya can't really give the minutes to burks

Probably shouldn't have to say anything but oh well, if people are seriously complaining about Burke and Evans minutes.

Jeremy Evans and Trey Burke both had 12min, coincidence? Nope. Anybody who's ever watched the Jazz and how they treat players coming back from injury should not be shocked by this, I'm more shocked that they got 12min and not 10min for the game.

Yes I wanted to see them more Evans (who needs a bit more love in this thread) and Burke both played exciting to watch bball and played very very well especially for their first game of the season, however they had imposed minute restrictions. Also I think it is good to leave them with a good feeling with how they played I would think it would be a boost of confidence in their own games and help them and the team going forward.

Ty has lost this team. If Gobert is tweeting stuff like that out...ouch. Also, if Kanter and Favors can't defend together on the court...take on of them out. I am not a big Evans fan at all, but he should have been in the game covering Anderson. Favors/Kanter's defense was pathetic. It will be interesting to see who plays better with Burke...the other might be the odd man out...and I'm leaning towards Favors winning out.

Burke played balls out. Very exciting.
