George Hill coming to Utah

The trade hasn't been officially announced so there might be more pieces moving.

I think it was wise to leak it in advance so when the guy drafted at 12 puts on a Jazz hat tonight we don't explode with anger or fall in love.

It won't be announced until after our cap space opens up in July... we are absorbing him into cap space. Any other piece is likely not material... otherwise Woj would have figured out the other pieces by now.

This is actually true. Who's to say the Jazz don't trade Hill for something else LOL

Why are his assists numbers so low? Did not really watch Indiana at all last year so wondering why? Also his assists numbers for his career are quite low.

He doesn't handle the ball as much as a traditional point guard. Played with Ellis and Paul George who are more the creator types.

Good in PnR, good spot up shooter, good defender. More of a caretaker as a point guard which works well for us.

You are the biggest moron on here. If it doesn't work then just move on. Gave up a lottery pick for a one year rental. That's okay if you are a team that's a playoff team and a piece or two away. That is not the Jazz however. Jazz got straight robbed in this trade but if you want to think it is brilliant so you can sleep better then by all means keep thinking that

You are so smart, we bow before your intellect. I know it must really suck being you, but we are hopeful that you find a way to become happy and friendly.

Hugs to you,

the moron

Giving up the 12th pick work well for us though? Of course may not know that answer to that for another 3 years or so.

I'm very disappointed with how many of you lack watching other teams play that you have no clue on how good George Hill is. It baffles me.

I think you are being too simplistic. Have you read all the threads and tweets about this. No one is saying Hill is better, just a better fit. Plus he sounds like he will be better for chemistry -- he likes Quinn and is buddies with Gordon; Quinn coached Teague so you need to consider that Quinn must've preferred Hill. Look at Kevin Love, while he is a great player, he doesn't fit in well with the Cavs. Teague is not a good fit because we are looking to the future development of Dante and Teague might inhibit that, Hill won't. In fact, Hill might be a benefit to Dante.

Exactly it could backfire and the board will be ripe with guys saying how much they loved X Player and DL is so dumb. I just think we didn't have rotation minutes for another young guy... I like our balance. 12 sucks to give up and if we don't move back into the first round it ruins my draft night (which I always enjoy), but the cost benefit is great imo.

I also think Larry Bird is losing it a bit... I'd continue calling him and seeing what he will give us for stuff. Seems to be making moves just to make moves.

Oh great just great. Now rumors are Hill is demanding contract renegotiation for a max deal. He is basically threatening to have a down season and leave to Phoenix after contract is up. I bet Dennis caves in like he did on the Kanter trade.

Those saying Utah Jazz and DL obviously like Hill more than Teague are dumb. HILLS OWN TEAM LIKES TEAGUE MORE THAN HILL. What does that tell you?

Bird also just fired Vogel to hire Volgel's assistant... declined Solomon Hill's option and lost him for basically nothing and signed Monta Ellis... Add in resigning Rodney Stuckey to a big deal. I'm not sure they know what they are doing.

Indiana's recent track record is not great.

Don't be surprised. Some people just see points/assists/rebounds and that's all they care about.

Yep!! most fans on here only watch and follow Jazz players. This was a great move for a team wanting to make a playoff run, adds depth, shooting and great perimeter defense. What more could we be looking for going into 2016-2017? Plus We don't have any minutes for a rookie. next year we have more picks then we know what to do with.

What rumors? The ones you made up?
