George Hill coming to Utah

You're so cool buddy. We are 3-2 and on our way to win our first title. We are the Cubs. Lets get excited like everybody in Chitown. Awesome.

Or realize that we look good and Hill fits. We hope he stays for a reasonable price but we don't know that yet. We hope Exum is a future star but we don't know that yet. We hope we make the playoffs as a decent seed but we don't know that yet.

What good comes from being dicks to guys who are rooting for the same team? Is your life really that sad or **** really that tiny that you search for such small, meaningless victories?

Wait until at least the All Star break. We were 40-42 last year. We are 3-2 now. Take a deep breath and enjoy the potential before looking for such a small forum victory.

If others had your free time, I'm sure we could find you in a similar minor mistake.

George Hill on coming to Utah, where he's off to a spectacular start: "It was very exciting to me because I was going somewhere where I was wanted. No disrespect to Indy, but they didn't think I was the right fit for where they were going. To come to a place that wants you and wants to give you the keys to drive the car, I was very excited about that. To come in here with guys that I know like Gordon [Hayward] and Shelvin [Mack], Boris [Diaw], Joe [Johnson], that was the exciting part, knowing we had something special if we can just put it together."

I'm so glad our GM is smarter than Larry Bird.

I like George Hill, but my point still stands if he leaves after one year. Hill is a good player. Always have liked him. We "aren't there yet" so gaining a little bit of momentum then losing him for nothing could be tragic. Hope I'm wrong.

Sorry, I feel bad for piling on :( I'll retract what I said.

The thing about Teague is he played on a team packed with shooters, top to bottom. He can penetrate well, but that team's build made him look way better than he really is.

The year Paul George was out and David West missed like 20 games, George Hill dragged the Pacers kicking and screaming to within 1 game of the playoffs. He also had better numbers that year than Teague ever has.

Damn, whoever said this is a genius.

Damn, whoever said this is a genius.

Kinda seems like he's full of himself though.

Anyway I think this Hill guy will be a decent stop gap until Exum blossoms into the hybrid Steph Curry and MJ he is destined to be.

I mean you were bragging about how right you were when the Jazz were losing, at least I didn't stoop to that level.

Just teasing mountain Steve. Did you even read the rest of my post? Besides you didn't put up with the trollerish ******** I did.

Yeah and I only went through the first handful of pages. I can only imagine how big of a crow buffet we need for this thread.
Send me fry sauce to dip my crow into.
While I think there's a huge risk he doesn't re-sign (and we'd "lose" the trade in that case), perhaps the winning attitude and what he may be able to teach Dante outweighs having a #12 pick developing on the bench.

So George Hill is going to usurp the number 3 jersey, just as Trey Burke did before him.

Didn't make myself look silly.

I'm surprised at the responses thus far. A dirt cheap top 10 (or so) PG for a meh late-lottery pick? That's a good trade for the Jazz. Pretty much the most exciting news we've heard in a long long time!

Touché.

Do you know who might know if Teague is WAAAAYYYYYY better than George Hill? Quinn Snyder who freaking coached Teague in Atlanta. Does anyone on this board think they have a better handle on the Teague vs. Hill situation than Quinn Snyder? Do you think that Quinn Snyder was left out of the loop when this decision was made? I would suspect that Snyder made this call because Jazz probably could have had Teague if they wanted him, probably even last season at the deadline. It appears that they wanted Hill.

Here is my contribution. I feel pretty good about it. . .
