George Hill coming to Utah

This trade ensures many moral victories next season!! woo-hoo!

GO JAZZ!

the amount of bodies I caught in this thread is hysterical. so much blood spilled with single felt swoops of the blade.

I'm gone very soon. We all know I ruled this place sitting atop a throne made of my enemies bones. I'll relinquish the crown soon enough.

How many posters repeat my posts from MONTHS prior without actually realizing it? Thats the ultimate proof. Look no further than the 2017 draftees thread, they wait for DX to confirm things before repeating what I've already said.. I've deleted no posts.

vehemently disagree.

Did you watch the western conference playoffs and think "the Jazz are one piece away from being contenders" ??

I say "Help now" is a relative term, and I think Hill will help, with moral victories.

Everyone with half a brain knows this years squad was good enough to make the playoffs but was riddled with injuries. This type of move is totally excessive IMO.\

Tyson Chandler to the Knicks.. Thats what this reminds me of...

ha

I'm not even gonna respond to any further comments in this thread. clearly I've said enough. I'ma leave it with the words of Vin Diesel..

The Jazz have 0 ****ing championship yet y'all are cheering on moral victories. You've been bamboozled.

The Jazz are a loser franchise who's content in chasing down moral victories and appeasing the extremely territorial fans. They literally closed the window a bit with this move. It's obscene this teams average age was near 27, they had no buisness heading in that direction. Should've been one of the youngest rosters in the league. Hayward and Ingles should've been the old vets.

Anyone wanna join me in laughing at PG_AB's New York Knicks?!!

Laughed for 10 mins straight when I heard news of the trade. Garbage franchise.

I'm not a Knicks fan but they have 2 championships in '70 and '73. The Jazz are just a 40 something year old expansion franchise in comparison. Their most well known for losing in the most iconic moments in NBA history. Their legendary player Karl Malone is a total scumbag who fathered children he denied exist too. Thats who you build statues for.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYVjltXc5F8 This is greater than any performance in Jazz history. Easily.

Knicks also a $3+ billion franchise.

I'ma take my talents to root for some other expansion team. Utah is just spinning their tires. They've chose to fight against an opponent that can TOY with them, rather than taking a long-term outlook.

Who's laughing now?!

(In response to my saying the trade was too risky)
Are you trying to claim Hill was a bad trade? He was a great fit and a great leader that helped this team improve greatly. Regardless of if he re-signs he was a solid trade looking back. Another miss from you. Although you seem to think it's win a championship or bust with no middle ground and no improving. So that's a problem work your logic in general.

Again, I haven't read the thread, but I assume I feel the same as the majority.
Love the player/fit, a lot, but feels icky that he's got one year left and we could possible be missing on a good player tied up many years.

I like win now, but not sure how much we can win next year that's really meaningful.

One thing is certain, though... We know less than 10% of the behind-the-scenes plotting and scheming.

This guy gets it. You're not all bamboozled. just a vast majority.

PG_AB, stop spamming the thread.

Also I am glad that you agree with Dr. Jones that you know less than 10% of what is going on.

All for naught, SENSATIONALIZE IT ALL YOU WANT. The proof is in the pudding. We haven't even gotten to the part where he tries to price gouge them yet, and as a franchise, they asked for that... He provided great moments against bottom-feeders like the Knicks and Lakers.

It was a terrible trade. Time will only further prove that to be true.

Was the trading up for Trey Burke a terrible trade too? or u in full denial/territorial mode?

I called the Trey Burke pick out, in great detail, MONTHS in advance too.. While lames like dalamon called him the savior and god and grotesque things of that nature. I said this guy has a step-back J and not much else.

I even said I'd stop rooting for the team if they picked burke, and I planned to but I said since they drafted Rudy i'm gonna stick around. None of this is sensationalized either..

There were people calling for Burke from the 1st page of the 2013 draftees thread --- I thoroughly debunked many of his 'strengths and weaknesses' beyond a shadow of a doubt.. and then what happened? Burke proved pretty much every word of it true.

How many ****ing idiots went out of their way to try and trash DENNIS SCHRODER, who I said is definitely better, to make their point about Burke??? ha? DENIAL is heavy here. You lose a battle like that, you retreat to higher ground and try again. I'll ****ing beat you every which way tho. My point has been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt -- DENY DENY DENY tho. It's a terrific compliment, thank you all. You proved my point, not me.

Will you bump the thread when we re-sign Hill and win 60 games next year?

Schroeder sucks... hill helped us win game 7 against the clips... who'd be a 1 or 2 seed in the east. Bottom feeders... dear God man you are just the worst.

The proof is in the pudding already. Hill was a huge help this season. If Hayward stay he is a huge reason why. He is a huge reason why we won so much this season and the success we had in the playoffs.

Burke's is a different trade. I know you like to switch arguments half way through and make up silly arguments for people to make yourself sound better but it really makes you look silly. I wasn't a fan of the Burke's trade or Burke. So stop this terrible argument style. It might work well with kids you are around but it makes most people lose respect for you.

I tend to agree with PG_AB. Wasn't a huge fan of the trade, felt like they were doing what they promised not to do and started skipping steps. Not sure it hurts the franchise too much though unless there was someone available last year at 12 that we're going to wish we had. I don't see that at this point.

It was a bad trade because Hill was hurt so much.

If you get Teague instead of Hill, you might end up third in the west, play in the conference finals, you already have Teague extended and Hayward is talking about how he signs at midnight so we can add another piece or two.

Compare that to where we are now: if Hayward leaves, we are back to tanking. If Hayward stays, are you more likely to re-sign an old PG that has been hurt a lot? Probably.

When you realize you could have had Teague instead, it was a bad trade.

Teague is a FA buddy. His agent is of the same money grubbing ilk Hill's is and no extension would have got done. His agent will be seeking a near max - max.

Yeah, stupid Hill. DL should have known a guy like Hill would take an elbow to the face. Teague is younger, and Younger guys never take elbows to the face and stuff.

It's funny how the guys who disliked this trade were complaining about using a draft pick on a 1 year rental, but then somehow also want to claim Teague would have been better.

Teague would have left for sure. Utah has a decent chance to keep Hill, and he actually plays both sides of the court, unlike Teague. It's not even close , really. Hill was the right choice regardless of his injuries.

Hopefully Teague moves teams too. Need as many PG as possible to go to new teams to dry up the Hill market.
