What's new

Get the crows out for the korver haters

He can redeem himself.

Here's how:

Jazz are in the finals. Korver is currently sitting with a finals record of best 3pt% for anyone ever, but by only one shot. Jazz are 2pts down with 15s to go, Korver gets the ball for a corner 3... and takes the shot.

That's it. I don't care if it goes in or not. I'll forgive him.

The record he’s chasing now is all time made threes. Should make him want to shoot as much as possible.

The ****ing shots I'm talking about were wide ****ing open.

Shut the **** up if you don't remember the situation I'm talking about.

Shut the **** up!

Shut your stupid *** mouth.

You don't even know why I feel the way i do.

You have no idea the significance of his refusal to take GOOD shots when his team needed those shots.

So just stop ****ing talking to me about this if you don't know the situation.
This is the team that got unceremoniously swept by the Lakers, right?

It’s totally insignificant.

If I were a Cleveland fan it wouldn't be "the decision" that I wouldn't forgive LeBron for. It would have been when he basically quit in the playoffs the previous season. They were a #1 seed and LeBron (probably thinking about "the decision") flat out quit on his team. That's what I never would have forgiven him for.

Wow, memory like an elephant.

I miss AB and always will, I love that Korver is here and wish he never left. Never could get over the 3point percentage padding with him not taking shots for the Jazz though. It cost us, I still remember that.

Anyone ever thought to consider that The Jazz could’ve actually done worse than matching up with the George Karl-less Nuggets and winning that series?

The toughest part of our schedule is over with so going forward i would expect more wins regardless of the trade happening and im pretty sure that the trade will look fantastic partly due to the schedule easing up and partly due to korver being an amazing shooter and providing this team with a very important thing that we desperately needed.

I wouldn't say the toughest part of our schedule is over quite yet. Have you seen our December schedule? It's brutal, we play the Spurs, Thunder, Rockets and Blazers twice each, and also face Golden State and Philly. January is when the schedule finally eases up.

Actually, it was the loss of the 3rd seed that hurt us (recap: we finished one game behind the Suns). The only team in the West that caused us matchup problems was the Lakers; Denver and Phoenix matched up better against LA than we did.

For the record. My issue with Korver has nothing at all to do with his skill. I actually think he's a pretty good pick-up for the team. I was a big fan of his while he was here.

I hope he does well and I hope the team lives up to the expectations we all had coming into the season.

As far as joes minutes last night, he was in early foul trouble and had to sit before he generally does. I certainly hope they can dial down his minutes a bit myself, but last night it was out of necessity not concern for health or wear and tear.

Forgot about that. Still, I think having Korver will help with Joe's minutes.

Are you sure? The Nuggets owned the Jazz until George Karl got cancer, I’m not sure they were beating anybody that year.

This is all moot. That team wasn’t a contender.

Denver beat us 3 out 4 times during the regular season, so they owned the tiebreaker. AD was not anywhere near as good a coach as Karl, which tipped the series our way. I am sure the Suns would have beat Denver as well.

I'll always root for AB, but I was surprised at how many people preferred him over Korver in terms of fit. AB took 11 shots and 8 free throws to get his 15 points and needed 15 shots and 7 free throws to get his 17 against the Lakers. I know a lot of people think we need a high usage bench scorer, but I don't really think we did. Korver needed 7 shots to get his 14 points and two of those were desperation heaves. And he has barely been with the team a couple days. And he won't make Quin pull out his hair.
He was also better defensively.
