What's new

GM #9: 11/12/2014 - Utah Jazz(3-5) @ Atlanta Hawks(3-3) [5.30 PM MDT, 7.30 PM ET and 1.30 AM CET]

Korver is shooting 36% from 2pt range. Guard him beyond the arc, and force him into the 2pt shots.
I like the idea of having Favors and Gobert out there guarding Sap and Horford because they have some defensive range and can mess up the mid range and outside shots, and they are long. Maybe they can tip rebounding in the Jazz favor tonight as long as they don't get into foul trouble.

Hayward on Korver most of the night, or all night. Let Thabo shoot.

If Carroll is out that is huge, he has an impact in all areas of their play.

If Carroll is out I say the Jazz win. If he plays it's 50/50 depending on how he can move with the injury.

I also predict we get another good game from Favors as to pts, rebs, and blocks.

Favors would have sent that weak **** back to Germany.

But not Duncan because he's too old and slow?
Duncan is still mr Fundamental. Hard to tell if Silver Spoons made a good play, or Duncan lost 2 steps in his old age.

For some reason I feel like Quin might run some more pick and rolls and allow Trey to dribble the ball more than usual in the first quarter to get his confidence back. I just have a gut feeling that today's game is the day Trey breaks out of his slump. Might not break the slump permanently, but he'll have a good game.

I am pretty sure Quinn's plays start a set that flowing options. Calling a play for Trey specifically isn't how the offense works. But I hope that Trey finds a way to break out.

But Teague is a tough matchup for Trey. At least they don't have great rim protection.

Honestly....

It's time for Burke to step up and have a good game... Srsly it's not like these teams have blackmail stuff on him, he shouldn't be playing this bad...

And Burks, while playing solid, is capable of much more... I'm looking for him to stand out tonight and add some quality along side Hayward!!!

They have pictures of Trey fully clothed. :p

Well, we thought that about Indiana with Trey going up against Donald Sloan and a waiver-wire PG. Can't get much easier than that. Now, if Trey goes 4-12 and 1-3 on his 3's, we'd consider that breaking out of his slump.

I'm sure there's at least a couple of people on this board who are thrilled that the Hawks will be without Carroll and Scott tonight, right?

Raise your hands, guis.

We had that mindset going into the Pacers game. Look how that one turned out...

Can't wait to watch Dennis and Trey battle it out.

Lindsey handing Trey a pink slip tonight? Trey crying and begging for another chance?

Statistically speaking it would have been more likely for Trey to have broken out of his slump last game, but I still didn't think he would. Now that everyone realizes the gravity of the situation, I suspect the Jazz put in extra effort this last practice in helping Trey out of his slump. But other than that speculation, I don't really have anything to back up why he'll play good today. Just a feeling.

It's good and bad.

Sucks they are hurt and Jazz need to learn to beat full strength teams.

Happy because the Jazz should also use any advantage they have/get.

Whoever is assigned to cover Korver had better ignore every other Hawk player and stick close enough to Kyle to smell what he had for lunch.
