Gobert rips teammates

Once upon a time Jamal Crawford was good enough to drop near 50 on prime D-Wade.. There's a reason why he gets paid all that to come of the bench and it was on full display int his game (and that matchup late last season, ffs.. )...

It's rather obtuse to presume Rudy was talking about whoever was guarding him.. Once Jamal gets hot it's problems for most every team...

When the Jazz lose, I think Rudy is the only one on the entire team that goes home angry. He's the only player on the team with heart and a true desire to win. Everyone else does this for the paycheck...

I like this for the fact that Rudy's the only star locked in long-term and he's letting it be known whats unacceptable..

There's still time to get their **** straight before the playoffs.

If I had to guess it's players going into contract years..

such as Ingles and Hill (not really Hayward) or maybe Hood or even Diaw.. Players trying to preserve the gaudy percentages they once had..

If he is saying this about Ingles I would get my Aussie defensiveness on and call out my French comrade!
Ingles is about the least selfish a player you will find. Him passing up some shots is a 'bad' feature of his DNA and game. Not a product of him worrying about %.

I think there is 0 chance he is talking about Ingles. Also, Gobert would love the bit of mongrel that Ingles plays with.

I'm glad your glad he made these statements in the media. What good does it do to embarrass teammates in public. All that does is divide a locker room. Poor choice at how to handle things.

And kind of unwittingly undermines the coach.

Gobert wants to have teammates that play winning basketball. Both Hill and Burks are into hero ball.

We miss a Kirilenko type of player that can help the team to win games even without being considered on offense.

I'm glad Gobert made these statements before the playoffs.

Rudy already is that type of guy. Most underperforming star heavy teams would see a huge performance boost if they'd exchange one of their creators who needs a lot of touches for Rudy.

Ingles has a massive rooting interest in preserving his 3pt % going into unrestricted free agency...

It is one thing to state that as a generic observation, and another thing to apply it to individual players.

Ingles has always passed up shots he could/should take. I think it would be unfair to assume his passing up shots now is tied to his next contract.

Not saying I know you're wrong for sure, just think he deserves a fair bit of benefit of the doubt here.

I;m not saying thats whats going on.. just interested to see if anything selfish manifests itself while the team still has a pulse for the next 30 days or so

There are gonna be some tensions build up in the locker room. I hope Rudy has the enough strong presence amongst his teammates to overcome the first momentum and become the unquestionable leader he deserves to be. Making this statement is a gamble. But it is a necessary one if you wanna be a true contender.

Well, I think him, and Hayward are the only ones

We have a SG problem...
And I don't understand Neto..
Exum is better than Raul..

Is Exum REALLY better than Neto? 80% of the games that Exum has played he looks like a scared child out there. I honestly think RIGHT NOW that Neto is a better player than Exum.

I remember when Kyle Korver was trying to get the single season 3pt% record and was scared to shoot the 3pt when Jerry Sloan was the coach. Do you REALLY think that Ingles is scared of losing money from being a Clippers 'throw away' to becoming a fringe starter in the league? Korver was a fringe starter looking for that bank, I think Ingles is a fringe starter looking to prove himself and not shooting when he shouldn't.

Rudy shows it

Hayward internalizes it

This crap is why G will leave

burks

exum

hood

have been brutally bad. Hood was heating up before his knee went out on em. I'll give hood a bit of a pass. but we need production from these trashcans or we're toast.
