Gobert update thread

Just saw a tweet about Gobert:

Andy Larsen: Both Joe Johnson and Joe Ingles have commented that Rudy Gobert’s been walking around the hotel, relatively upbeat in full sessions today.

Not sure how to take the boldest part. What "full sessions"? Film, shoot around, practice, interviews?

Typo. Film session.

Yea I agree my gut says they'd prefer to sit him out the entire series but will be back by game 6 if need be, man we don't want to burn Gobert's knee out

Important to remember also is Austin Rivers didn't play.. hopefully we can take care of things before he comes back.

The problem is if we don't bring Gobert back we might burn FAVOR'S knees out.... it's a zero sum game.

That's how they've always done it until now. Don't you remember the MVP always getting the trophy right before a playoff game?

This year they are doing a whole event after the finals. Which is an infinitely worse system.

Pretty sure the guy who thought the new NBA.com site was good also suggested to have the awards after the season. What a #Dumba** that dude is.

From everything we are getting back I'm feeling he'll be back in this series.

If he was hobbled and not walking well I wouldnt be optimistic, but it feels like this is a minor strain.

Gobert is OUT for this series....and if we advance, he's OUT for the playoffs! Book it, Dano! You don't come back 100% from a twisted knee in 2 or 3 weeks! Those are the facts....and I'm sticking with them!

Rudy will be back the game after we lose our first game and will likely knife anyone who tries to stop him. If the Jazz want to rest him, they better win on Tuesday. If he is walking around without crutches a couple of hours after the injury happened, it isn't career threatening.

he hyperextended it, not twisted it. medical evidence suggests there isn't any structural damage. once the soreness is gone, he should be able to return, and all indications are that low-impact activities like walking and moving about are not hampering him. his return will be sooner than later.
