Gobert vs Whiteside

Obviously a huge debate tomorrow. A heavyweight battle. How do you guys see it going?
Hassan is averaging a whopping Rodman-like 14.7 rebounds per game.

I dont think anyone can say that gobert is looking better than whiteside currently. 18 points per game, 14.7 rebounds per game and 2.6 blocks per game in 32.3 minutes is pretty damn amazing.
And im one of goberts biggest fans too.

Despite that, i just love goberts personality and work ethic too much, plus i think his leadership and intangibles are off the charts. And i bet he has better defensive advanced stats.
I still chose the Stifle Tower.

The other thing to consider is that Gobert is not even the fourth option on the Jazz offensively and defensively he plays with Favors who takes away rebounds and blocked shots.

Whiteside is a very good player and better offensively but Gobert has intangibles and is better defensively overall.

Whiteside is actually defending the rim better this year last time I checked.

Half of Whitesides boards come from bunnies he missed. I know some Miami fans, and they brought up the Bulls game..."whiteside had a 20/20 but got outplayed by Lopez."

Gobert will struggle with Whiteside's strength. Should be a fun matchup...Miami as a team sucks.

I think Dragic is a GTD and is expected to be out. If he's out, I'd imagine they really struggle.

I hope so, but this is also a 2nd back to back on 5 games in 6 days road trip for the Jazz. I could see them come out and totally stink it up against an inferior Miami and I almost can't blame them.

You all remember the game last year when I believe Gobert was hurt and Favors destroyed Whiteside?

Whiteside fascinates me. For his first two years in the NBA he sucked, then he goes to the D-League and China, and it's as if a switch was turned on and he returns from three or so D-League teams in the same season and becomes a beast in the NBA.

However, Whiteside doesn't like anime and Gobert does, so we're going to win.

Yeah, I think tonight is thought to be a "scheduled loss" but with Dragic being out we have a chance.

WTF is this? Miami is the 3rd worst team in the East at 2-5.

I'll just go ahead and predict that Rudy and Favors make a point of taking it to Whiteside. Also think we'll shoot better than yesterday.

Jazz win this one by 15-20.
