Gobert vs Whiteside

Whiteside said Hayward shot too many free throws. "He might shoot free throws for this interview," Whiteside said. (Hayward shot 5.)

lol

Go Jazz! Playing hard for all five games of a whirlwind road trip gets them four more wins. 52 win pace.

Gordon Hayward first Jazz player since Karl Malone to start the season with 5 straight games with at least 20 points. Probabaly been said a few times, but that's a big deal.

And people thought he would average under 20 this year lmao

OK, Whiteside, explain how Mack scored a dozen directly in your face. How can you be one of the most dominant defensive bigs in the league and have Mack own you like that. Even when Lillard "had a field day" on Gobert, he got like three lay ins over Gobert. Whiteside isn't even close to the defensive level of Gobert.

Rudy would get abused by good post players. That is his weakness now. Strong tall post players who can just bully him. Rudy is better built better for todays NBA. Shaq, Malone, Robinson, Barkley, Ewing, Hakeem, Kepp, Divac and Alonzo would all be rough for him to defend. The game was so much more physical I think he would have got shoved and bullied a lot more then, not that they are the same but kind of how Shawn Bradley was.

exactly, guys like Gobert would get bullied by stronger guys in the old NBA ! He is good in today's NBA because he knows how to defend space, and this what matters : that he can cover ground and alter shots by defending space. But his man to man D is weak in terms of post play, just look at what Okafor did to him... no in the 90s guys like Okafor or Cousins would be the monsters.

Also from watching highlights from the game, Withey looks completely uninterested in playing. Has he been like this all season? Definitely seemed to play harder last season... I really thought he'd be a really valuable backup as a hardworking rebounder and shotblocker, with good free throw shooting. Doesn't look like he's really putting it together this season based on highlights and comments here.
