i got on facebook just barely to post about the al jefferson trade.. then i saw CJ's status as "gone...."
idk if its because he is traded or because he wants to sleep... we need CJ!!!! taking al jefferson for booz and miles is NOT WORTH it. CJ was very important to us in the playoffs and when i think he is finally showing what he can do... he BETTER not be involved in this trade..
I'd be shocked if Miles is moved. A former starter w/playoff experience who only makes $3.7 million (plus a team option next year). His age and contract make him too valuable a player to trade with our payroll increasing this dramatically. Then we'd essentially have 2 wing slots to fill and you won't find a better replacement for Miles for that price. Can' see it happening.
He says that all the time.

Just so ya knowz: We don't take kindly to noobz round these here parts, eh, n00b?
what's with this Brown obsession ? Do we really need to have atleast one undersized, poor outside shooting wing every now and then? Maybe he can replace Price, but not Mathews.
I agree they probably weren't going to use every single asset, but if they used them in a different order, they could have used more of them. If I was KOC, that would have been my plan unless there was an offer I just couldn't pass up. For example, using the MLE and Harp's TPE ends up at about $12M, or roughly what they will pay Jefferson. The difference is the Boozer TPE retains value until next offseason (when AK's off the books), but the other TPEs and the MLE don't. So they could have added two role players with the MLE and Harp TPE, then still grabbed a bigger contract next year. This way I don't know if they do that, because they're already about $2M over the LT with 9 players on the roster.Jazz weren't going to use all of the assets.
My roommate spotted Al Harrington and another dude at the Malt Shop in Provo today. Although I'm not sure I trust any Provo resident when it comes to identifying black people
Yeah, 3 million over the tax with 9 players is a concern.
11-12 is a concern salary wise, though not nearly as bad as Matthews + Boozer would be.
I wonder if Memo is indeed the odd man out and may get traded. I don't know if the Jazz are THAT willing to go into the tax again.
There's no way Matthews is coming back now. We need a 4th wing. That's the last move. Probably going to be from the bargain bin. We have to accept the tax at this juncture, with the idea AK could get dealt at the deadline to avoid it. Brewer/Brown/Barnes. I'd take Brewer, but I'm sure LOTS of people will disagree with me.
Let me be the first to disagree. I would rather have Brown first then Barnes and Brewer as a last resort. Why? Brown can play both PG and SG. He is just as athletic as Brewer and can actually shoot outside. Barnes is a tough defender who does not back down. He can make the 3 pt. too. Both are all around better players than Brewer.
THANK YOU! and his highlight reel once in awhile in ESA will make ESA go nuts!!! the jazz will feed off that and go on runs because thats what the jazz do!
Why not just get Brewer? Who is a longer and better defender, and makes just as many highlights?
