GSW Draft Pick Watch

wat the hooo lleeee **** bois? we get 20ith pick at best now? addition bye subtraction like adding two PKMs by giving up three denzel dalamon monkies. warriors gonna run the table with no out ellis and Utah Uteees dominatin/

I think Jefferson will be better for them than Jackson! Let's just hope they aren't serious about shutting down curry!

The Blazers could beat GSW in a race to the bottom. They unloaded Wallace and Camby for what exactly.... Okur, Thabeet, Johnny Flynn ?

Edit: Oh, and they just fired their coach.

Exactly. The addition of SJAX would have caused a full meltdown in the lockerroom. They got better with the trade today. Jefferson is a solid guy who will give them 20 mins of decent production. Curry has been hurt on and off the whole season. They've won most of their games of late without him. Thompsom looks like he can replace Ellis' points. This could be a situation like New York, where the teasm plays better without their "star" who has to have most of the touches.

Several teams trying to prove me wrong that the Warriors can't tank enough to catch them:

Toronto coming up with a win in Memphis
Sacramento beating the Celtics
Golden State losing big to Milwaukee (although I expected that one after the Ellis trade)

However, Detroit lost at Phoenix and NJ lost to Orlando so that helps. GS winning 5 or more the rest of the year might be stretching it. Should we hope their shooters are "en fuego" tomorrow night?

i've just counted it if GS tank significiant we still have chance for 8seed but there will be funny rolercoster till the end.

my prediction our seeds:

PICK 8 and 14.

what is yours??????

It's probably not a good thing to hope GS beats us tonight. But I think we need their pick badly this year. Hope it works out that we get it.

I am extremely convicted as to what I want from our team, this NBA season.

On one hand, I really want these group of guys to make the playoffs. I really do. I think it would give them so much to look forward to during the offseason, give them that much more motivation to come in stronger. Besides, we could probably make a draft-day trade for a late 1st rounder with some of our assets, or something (akin to what the Spurs did last offseason)

On the other hand, I am fully aware as to what a 12th-14th pick could do for this team, especially if we get a player like Quincy Miller, and he ends up exceeding expectations.

In the end, If I knew right now that if we were to make the playoffs, and the first round went 6 games, and Hayward averaged 30mpg, Burks averaged >20mpg, Kanter averaged 15-20mpg, and Favors averaged 25mpg, Id sacrifice our ~13th pick for it. I would love our young guys to get a taste of what the playoffs are all about, and not having their head down, and having to clear out their locker rooms early in the season. However, knowing Ty's stations, the young guys will probably get even LESS minutes come playoff time; as a result, this makes me lean towards tanking now. And I guess a game like tonight will really decide the outlook of our season: will we continue our playoff fight, or will we succumb to Houston/Dallas at this point in the season.

This is a strange dilemma.
