Rest players this early in the season? **** that!
A win here could be something that defines who this team is this season.
If the Jazz rested players for this game, it would be a huge slap in the face to all the fans who paid premium dollar for tickets to the game.
I hope the Jazz win the game. That's what I hope. We don't have opportunities to write games off. The Jazz are the 7th seed. This isn't a chance to lose games we're supposed to lose. We need to take chances at winning games we're supposed lose.
GSW has been putting up ABA numbers on offense - they scored over 400 points in the last 3 games combined. Let's hope LAC can put a couple dents in them tonight.
Should be a fun game.
I wish we were healthy for this game, but I'm hoping they'll hold out Favors well beyond this game. I also hope G Hill doesn't rush back for this one. Or Rod.
Probably no one because the Jazz will be the 9th seed. The Jazz have a team that can compete for the Western Conference championship if they have everybody healthy going into the playoffs. It's good for Exum and Lyles to get meaningful minutes in a big game like Golden State.
Everyone wanted to dump Diaw when he was injured now look how he's playing. Joe Ingles was suppose to be 11th 12th man, look how good he's playing. Let GHill strengthen that big toe and Favors get rid of his knee/back aches fully.
Let Burks get a 100% and the Jazz can be very ,very good.
Though it sucks right now with injuries, the Jazz are looking to be healthy before the halfway point. They will become dominate and who will want to be matched up against them when the playoffs arrive.
This. It's a marathon, not a sprint. Rushing guys will only aggravate these injuries and make them worse. Get guys to truly 100% and then play them.
Pulled hamstring
Sprained Toe
Knee + Back
Finger in a splint
Burks
5 of our top 6 players are currently dealing with an injury. The Jazz can't afford for the injuries to be nagging at them all season. The schedule has provided an opportunity to get some extra rest and heal. I hope that the Jazz take advantage.
LolDid you find a way out of the Matrix?
Coddle these guys and u get wimps. Make them develop tough mental makeup, and u have a team that will play through pain and play well as we saw the Jazz do for years.
If they're still injured then it's a no-brainer you sit them. If they're not you play them. You don't sit them because we're gonna lose anyway. That's being a little too clever for your own good imho.I get your point but we're not talking about Carlos Boozer here. These are legitimate injuries.
This is about getting healthy, which is way more important than winning a game or playing through pain to develop a "tough mental makeup". These are potentially devastating injuries. What if Rodney seriously aggravates his hamstring? He's gone 4-6 weeks or more. Favors bone contusion gets aggravated because it's not fully healed... another 4-6 weeks or more. Gordon left the court last night because of his finger. You want him out for a couple of weeks? Should we let Hill's toe get re-injured when another few days would make it 100% healed? Now is the time to be sensible, this team has already proven that we can play with anyone when healthy. Now is the time to be prudent.
Hood, Burks, Favors, and Hill all confirmed out tomorrow.
