Some meaningless observations I've been meaning to post but haven't (now that I've forgotten a few of them) Lyles scored the first points for the Jazz from the MIN game and ended the Spurs game.
Since Favors has been hurt and Lyles and Whithey have started when Booker checks in he has turned it over (or was part of the TO but just didn't get the TO credited to him) usually within 1-2 possessions of him checking in or at longest within about the first minute of him checking in.
Hayward really needs to work on his passing to Gobert (the whole team as well but specifically Hayward) his first pass to Gobert was good but his next two passes were around his knees and while that should be something Gobert can still handle we all know Gobert's hands on caching passes are still a work in progress. You can see Snyder's influence in Haywards and Burke's improvement this year in several areas but they may want to make a point of emphasis on how to make the bounce pass pop/bounce up higher when bounce passes are necessary but also try to use chest passes and over the head passes to get him the ball if at all possible, also those types of passes should be directed shoulder level or higher to make it easier for Gobert to catch as well as keep the ball up higher so the D can't get to it as easy.
Lastly this may be me being overly critical but are the Jazz the worst fast break team in the NBA? Not just this year but comparing this year to all time historically bad. I'm not just talking about getting fast break (which is low and a problem) but actually converting them. I'm guessing they turn it over or miss the shot almost as much as converting it (like to the point when they get one I feel it's a 50/50 chance they score), part of that is Booker but that doesn't explain it entirely, I think it may be in there heads a little at this point.
I also think Booker is in his own head offensively at this point and it may be affecting the rest of his game.
Oh and despite my negative sounding post I am VERY happy and ecstatic about the win last night, just didn't want to pile on during the losses so I never posted it.
