I agree. I just don't see how other people who are seeking 'Appearance Congruence' (what a great term i invented, pat pat) are demeaning to others doing the same? I was seeking information and pointing out a disconnect I saw. Is discussion really so evil? I can't discuss my hesitations about Kanter or ask questions about transsexuals?

Not trying to pick on anyone. I think bullying is pathetic.
 
Trannie has the connotation of a male hooker dressed as a female, if I'm not mistaken. I'm pretty sure the word all together has a different intended meaning than transexual/transgender. I guess if you put it in context, calling a transgender/transexual person a trannie would be the social equivalent of calling a female a "whore". And like the term "whore" you don't just want to throw it around willy-nilly, probably want to save that one for a rainy day. Really cuts deep.

He's already received a warning in this thread for inappropriate, insulting, and demeaning content. He's continuing down the same line of thought that got him the warning. I'm not exactly way out on a limb.

This board's culture is so frequently socially regressive that I'm ashamed to be a part of it. But hey, I'm glad that every few months we can reliably have a "pick on transgendered persons" thread while the usual suspects rally around and argue that they have a legitimate opinion.

It's kind of like this. Very little people have a problem that LeBron signed with a different team being a free agent, but people have a problem with, "The Decision". It's the way people use stupid theatrics that get under other people's skin.

Oh, and for what it's worth, tranny/trannie shall henceforth be known as the T-word. No more using the complete word in polite society.

I like that homosexuals adopted the term gay, originally to prove to everyone how happy they were, and now Hillary Duff and Whoopi Goldberg are constantly scolding me via the TV, for using that word.


I've gotta admit, this thread has been the most entertaining troll feeding I've seen on this board. No one actually believes anything they are saying (I certainly don't) we all just get a kick out of pissing eachother off.

Unfortunately so many on this website count those qualities among their positive traits. Hey it's just their opinion right?
