also lets not pretend paul george did that all by himself. roy hibbert (avg. 22 & 10) was the better player in that series and nobody (reasonable) thinks he's a max player.
gordon is in the same situation that george was last year. deal with it, ma'am.
oh my god
first month of last season

Paul George became the #1 option for the Pacers last year when Granger was injured. Gordon has become the #1 option for this team this year after the former #1s were let go. Both came out of the gate poorly.wtf are you talking about? I think you are confused.
You said George is in the same situation Gordon was last season. They were drafted the same year and have thus played the same # of years. One turned into an all star caliber guy, the other looks like a role player.
Neither could negotiate a contract extension til this summer. One got max the other thinks he's worth almost max and didn't get it cus he's not.
Every knowledgable basketball fan knows that Roy Hibbert was the reason the Pacers/Miami series went 7-games. It helps when one of the worst offenses in the playoffs (and the league, for that matter) is being consistently bailed out by Hibbert's bonkers offensive rebounding.
Which leads me to a point regarding how good George really is offensively, if his team continues to not break into the top-20 NBA offenses (along with the fact that West was the main closer for most of last year's regular season)
Hibbert sucks in fantasy basketball lol
um excuse me, he's an all-starHibbert sucks in fantasy basketball lol

Disagree. His scoring output including 20+ pt outputs on 50+% FG and 60+% 3P with around 10 Reb 5 assists had lots to do with it.
And there is a reason he is now widely regarded as the best perimeter defender in the league. You know, he's pretty good at it.
Still think he was and is the best player on that team. You can disagree and make an argument for Hibbert but saying "any knowledgable fan" is pretty damn stupid.
Judging by the fact that an overwhelming number of journalists (including the very knowledgable Zach Lowe) would agree with what I said, I use this as my justification for knowledgable fandom.
I also enjoyed your selective mention of statistics for Paul George's post-season campaign-- failing to mention that he fouled out with 7 points in an elimination game.
There are just as many pointing to George
And Thanks for supporting my point. He played bad so they lost.
Right, because correlation always implies causation 100%.
Further enforcing my impression of how you stack up to the "knowledgable fan" category.
Thanks for supporting my point.
You lose. Walk away.![]()
Uh...Paul George and Gordo are from the same draft class. Paul George and the Pacers reached an agreement on an extension in September (after he was an all-star).paul george was an all-star negotiating a contract extension last year! ohwaitnohewasn'tyou'rewrong
he shot under 40% in the first month and everyone was declaring him a role player

Did you make up those statistics? He definitely didn't do that in that series.
