Why all this concern about Hayward's confidence? This is not your daughter's t-ball league. This is men's professional basketball. Confidence is earned and earned by those who deserve it (ala Millsap). Of course he doesn't have confidence, that's because he's smart enough to realize that he's not very good on this team. Confidence is not a gift you can give to an unskilled player, especially when it's at the expense of the rest of the team.
And yes, Hayward is having a bad year. But this is his SECOND YEAR. He's been given a chance to shine as a starter and he's proven to be dull. I saw his "brilliant" games last year, but that was when the games didn't matter and the competition was tepid at best.
Someone else deserves a chance to shine. Someone who has worked hard, put in their time, and makes smarter decisions. And I cringe to say that this includes CJ, Howard, and even Evans.
