Hayward to the D-League

Be realistic. He's just not good enough to play professionally yet. Maybe the Stampede can resuscitate him.

I think he needs to come off the bench. Seems like the pressure gets to him.
D-League, no.

Good lord, some of you judge Hayward based off his stat sheet too much.

Was his shot off today? Yes
Has he been off this year? Yes

But he had 7 rebounds today and he had some good drives.....he needs to be more aggressive
I agree with the bench thing as well because Hayward's more of a 2.

The only problem I have with benching Hayward is that you either have to start Howard or CJ at the 3. CJ is at his best off the bench. He stays hungry and he works harder for his minutes. Howard would be the better option, but the guy was clearly not 100% tonight (he was favoring his wrist all night).

It's a fine line to walk. Benching Hayward will only shake his confidence more. The kid was brilliant late last year and early this year.

About time some Hayward homers coming down to earth. He is playing like crap this season - certainly not deserving starting spot or minutes he is getting.

Why all this concern about Hayward's confidence? This is not your daughter's t-ball league. This is men's professional basketball. Confidence is earned and earned by those who deserve it (ala Millsap). Of course he doesn't have confidence, that's because he's smart enough to realize that he's not very good on this team. Confidence is not a gift you can give to an unskilled player, especially when it's at the expense of the rest of the team.

And yes, Hayward is having a bad year. But this is his SECOND YEAR. He's been given a chance to shine as a starter and he's proven to be dull. I saw his "brilliant" games last year, but that was when the games didn't matter and the competition was tepid at best.

Someone else deserves a chance to shine. Someone who has worked hard, put in their time, and makes smarter decisions. And I cringe to say that this includes CJ, Howard, and even Evans.

And none of that drivel you just **** out onto your keyboard mans he has to go to the ****ing D-League. Limit his minutes, make him earn them. You don't send him down because he's on a cold streak.

Also, I'm going to go ahead and say that LusuR is a fake account for AKMVP. Because it makes sense an AK fanboy would take out their frustrations on Gordon.

Prove it. And after you fail be a man and apologize. Otherwise you will look like douche... just saying.

Hayward should not go to the DLeague. But he shouldn't get 37 minutes when he just doesn't have it. Or 31 minutes the previous night. It's like, really OK to take him out of the game if he's sucking.

I think we have a different definition of "brilliant" than one another. Which were the brilliant ones from this season? I see some "solid" and even "good" ones......

How about we settle on "surprising" then? That's probably a bit closer to what I was trying to say.

God damn! This place blew up over the loss. I think some of us are expecting too much out of this team. I'm pleasantly surprised and even excited that they have won as many games as they have, but it's not something we should expect too much of this season.

Last year we all thought Hayward was the second coming of Hornacek/Ginobili.

This year he looks like the second coming a Gordan Giricek.

This was somewhere between the 2nd and 4th worst performance of the year, and Hayward was absolute ****, but people need to chill the **** out. If the worst-case scenario is that Hayward doesn't make it in the league, then the Jazz are in pretty good shape.

IMO, guys that just flame-out, disappear, and are gone before their next contract don't do what Hayward has done thus far. I personally think he might be he's utilized off the bench, longterm at least.

Considering his shot took a similar nose-dive in college in a similar way, I think it's pretty clear that Gordon has a big problem with shooting slumps. And in the NBA he needs to be able to hit the outside shot, period. He's not like Alec Burks where he can rely primarily on slashing and finishing. The dude needs a sports psychologist. He has the talent and the ability, but this slump is so deep in is head that he's not playing like the player we saw at the end of last season.
