"Hey Karl - you're lying." "He can't be counted on." etc. - The Official Following Greg Miller

Epic fail on both sides. Karl should not be bringing this tired, old **** up a year after it happened. And Greg giving into his immature side by blasting him on twitter, the devil's tool.

We all know Greg paid Sloan and Johnson millions after they left as hush money.
Karl is right of course, Karl was always right.
Sloan just cannot talk about it because of the contract.

.....right?

Wait... I have a better one.

Karl is trying to blackmail Greg into giving him another dealership, but Greg's not giving in.
Karl is now playing hardball.

How about that one?

My hatred of both of these people is, and has been, well documented. I didn't think it was possible to dislike either of them anymore than I already do. Boy, do I feel sheepish.

Hold it, hold it, hold it....

Larry was not a tightwad with Karl, although that is the popular opinion...not true.

In the late 80's, Karl started to demand a million dollars a year, which at the time was kind of rare. Larry gave it to him. Then Karl started spouting off that he wanted to be taken care of long term and he wondered why the Jazz had no come to him and offered it to him. (Like a crazy women, he thought they should have just known that's what he wanted)
Ok, so Larry got together with Karl and they hammered out a long term deal. Larry even threw in a car dealership to sweeten the offer, because there were league rules that made the deal capped at a certain amount.
Karl got as much, even more than the league allowed.
And when he kept wanting extensions to that deal, there was only so much allowed that Larry could pay him.
If Karl would have played out his contract and become a free agent, he could have made more, but he always wanted security.

As time went on, league rules changed and players started making more. But Karl was locked into a long term deal that very quickly became obsolete.
Same thing happened to Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan.

After the lockout and the new rules, Karl got the max deal that was allowed at the time.

Larry was not a tightwad with Karl. But many fans still want to believe that.
Larry eventually paid Karl, but most players of Karl's caliber (and let's be certain, first-ballot HOF-er, best player on the team for 20 years, best real PF in NBA history, two time MVP, second all-time scorer) don't have to scrap like he did to get anything close to a max deal.

As someone else on another board said, Sloan needs to call Greg and Karl and tell them to STFU.

He took his dealership and went home. Karl Malone Toyota isn't a part of LHM dealerships anymore and his name isn't on the Stockton one either.

I think it's pretty obvious Karl doesn't like Greggy boy. The truth to the story is probably somewhere in the middle, like it is with every disagreement.

The voice of reason...that must be why they made you a moderator.
I agree. Both are being petty a-holes right now.
But Greg is coming off way worse. It's kind of like a parent stooping down to the level of his 6-yr old. Greg needs to just deny what happened, say it's regrettable Karl isn't telling the truth and leave it at that. The fact he's trying to fire back, cite all these little incidents abd discredit Karl's relaibilty tells me some of what Karl said IS true. You don't go to those kind of lengths if everything is false. In that case, you just laugh it off in the media as absurd and move on.

IMO, what this hurts most is the ability of Utah to draw any FA's to play here. Utah was once viewed as a stable organization where loyalty was rewarded. Now the Jazz are like any other team AND they're in Utah to boot (and being run by an owner who will turn on you like a little boy). Congrats, Greggy Boy, you're now the laughing stock of the NBA.
