Hill is Out for Heat at Jazz

Can't blame it on Hayward I turn to Exum and Diaw who literally **** the bed tonight.

Diaw is 100% reliant on good players being on the floor. That is his skill, he makes good players better, he can't do **** with bad players who cant shoot.

Joe Johnson looked like he was going to be in position to grab the rebound for the game winner but was being pulled so badly I thought his jersey was going to rip.

Hayward got bumped from behind and then had to hang and hit the shot. That was close a close shot that is really hard to hit. Not sure why Rudy waited so long to go after that board but we fought hard but just too much to overcome. If we hadnt shot out of our minds from three this would have been a blowout.

Hayward really stepped up and played great but got next to no help. I guess Ingles and Johnson stepped up a little but not enough and everyone else had rough games.

We also got killed on the O boards.

Am I crazy to think that the starting lineup should have been Hayward, Johnson, Ingles, Lyles, Gobert?

If Lyles bothered to play defense in the 2nd half he might have.
I didn't see the jazz really getting stops no matter who was in the game.
This was one of those rare jazz games when the defense just wasn't there and we needed to out score them.

I wish Lyles would have got more shots. He seemed on tonight.

Hayward had an open 3 and a tough contested 2 both would have won the game. The 3 was the one I thought he should have hit. It was in rhythm and a good look. Oh well, players shoot their averages even in the clutch.

Why are they not checking for a shot clock violation. Dennis Lindsey has come out of his seat to yell at officals for a check

I didnt notice this, but if true, thats another ref reason we lost.

That was one of those shots I feel like he makes with Hill/Hood because he wouldnt have had to play the entire 4th quarter and expend so much energy doing everything all game.

Soo...last play for heat-it appears we did not have control of the ball when the shot clock expired (was close) so we should have had 4.1 seconds instead of 3.9.

Rudy was in such good position for the tip in. Jesus. Why didn't he try
Nah, I saw the replay on the post game from a different angle. Rudy was boxing out on the same side of the basket that Hayward took the shot from and the ball came off the other side of the hoop.

He had to step toward the ball and reach to grab it. He had no chance for a tip in. Had to catch and go up. He did bobble the catch on the rebound a little though.
