What's new

Hill is probably going to the Jazz, if they want him.

If Minny wants him... they have to move Rubio... so we'd get Rubio for nothing.

At this point we need to wait on point guard unless minney will give us Rubio for nothing.

4 Team Trade: Minnesota, Utah, Cleveland, and Indiana

Utah trades: S&T George Hill, Derrick Favors, and a 1st round pick

Utah gets: Kevin Love

Minnesota trades: Ricky Rubio, 1st round pick

Minnesota gets: George Hill, Derrick Favors

Indiana trades: Paul George

Indiana gets: Ricky Rubio, 1st round picks from Utah and Minnesota (lottery protected on each), Cedi Osman

Cleveland trades: Kevin Love, Cedi Osman

Cleveland gets: Paul George

Does this work? I have no idea. But I think it makes sense for all teams? Am I giving Minnesota too much? Can I pull Favors and just figure out a separate trade involving him that gets Utah more back?

Hill could go to Toronto if Lowery leaves, SA if they create some space, Minny if they trade Rubio, NY or NJ if they over pay, etc etc

Not sure Lowry is going anywhere, I laid out why SA probably isn't going to clear space, New Jersey's only star is a point guard, and the Knicks are no longer being run by an idiot.

I would die a little inside watching Favors play for the pesky wolves.

I just don't get the Kevin Love interest from fans. I'd rather pay a premium price to rent PG13 for a year, than a similar price to rent Love for two years. There's a reason that Cleveland is trying to move Kevin Love and get Paul George.

Lol, they are still a horrifically mismanaged franchise.

Go listen to the Dunced on Podcast mock offseason... not gospel obviously, but watch what happens to Hill/Teague market. 4 or 5 teams are now out of the pg market that were in few months ago...

Hill made a bad decision.

Minny could offer Hill without moving Rubio actually... Would probably still want to do so if they were acquiring Hill.

Was really hoping this thread would contain actual information instead of another one of these.

You're vastly overrating Love.

If the Jazz did this and Signed Teodosic their starting 5 could be:

Gobert/Love/Hayward/Hood/Teodosic

If that was the case I would hope you all are ready for white Mormon Utah jokes to flood the internet come the start of the season.

"1. Just about all of the possible destinations for Hill to go to have dried up. Not just the contending teams with cap, but almost all teams that are in the market for a point guard of any kind have that position covered."

Hill to the Clippers?

Clippers got a serviceable PG in Beverly and also have Austin Rivers. I don't think Hill is a gigantic upgrade of either. Maybe he is one Tier above but not two or three and therefore not worth the price difference.

1. Regardless of what we do, these jokes will be around. Even if we have 1 white guy on the team or a mulatto or if the concentration of melanin is too low amongst our black athletes. These jokes are here to stay.

2. These jokes don't bother me. Do they bother you?

3. In order to get the money to spend for Hill at the contract that he will be looking for, the Spurs will pretty much need to liquidate Gasol, Green, or Aldridge. If effect they would be trading Gasol, Green, or Aldridge for Hill.

Erm, you guys, Pau Gasol isn't on the books for 2017-2018. Green is making less than *Alec Burks* next year. Parker is in his final year of the contract, at 15mil. Lee is an expiring 2mill, Danny Green is a very tradeable 10 million.

Spurs are in a *way* better salary situation than we are. The only FAs they have to worry about are Dedmon and Patty Mills.

If they found a way to get rid of Tony Parker, our fates are basically sealed completely. Only hope is that they go for Lowry (doubtful) or Jrue (they could).

They can offer him 20 million only (I think).

And they get Derrick Favors. Thibs said he wanted a shot blocking big man during the draft.

I think Pek is technically off their books now.
