What's new

Hood went from number 1 option...

The Jazz can't resign him anyways even if they wanted him. He'll definitely get picked up somewhere but it'll be on the cheap I bet

Fell bad for Rodney, been a tough year I'm sure and not at all what he planned. Hope he can turn it around, he's a good player, he just needs to get out of his own way.

Seems to be all mental with Hood. He’s going to end up out of the league at the rate he’s going. Never imagined he’d bottom out so bad.

Somebody should create a list of possible destinations for Hood.

I'll start....

Atlanta. Because they only have 77 million in salary commitments and they are in a rebuild.

Okay, you finish the list.

While he was here, having Rudy between his man and the rim really helped hide some of his defenseive deficiencies. In Cleveland he never get's a chance to get in rhythm on offense because LeBron has the ball all the time. Not sure where he can fit but he has to find a way to defend better or Phoenix may be his only chance.

He would get tons of minutes as Booker's backup

Right... that was the joke.

Glad you got credit for it.
You needed more clarification because he was the number 2 option when Hayward was number 1. Honestly, I didn't get it until the other poster put the added comment in there. In fact, that is a triple entendre because he actually was getting the ***** during games as we all remember.

I remember watching a game with my sister when Hood was at Duke when he played with Jabari. We both commented that Hood is a ballhog. He never really broke that habit...

this is what is very very very difficult for many shooting guards / wings in today's nba : you cannot pound the ball anymore, it's over. Either you are a supreme shot creator for others and yourself and you can dribble, or you have to be good without it and fast in making a decision with it. Hood could have his moments but he is still an old fashioned 2/3 in the sense that he needs to be given the ball and allowed to do his thing. But although a decent scorer he is a poor shot creator so having him carry the ball isn't interesting for a team. You add to that lethargic defense and it's a big no no at this stage.

Yes they can. The rule is that you cannot re-sign a traded player until one year after he is traded or when the contract he was on when he was traded expires, whichever is first.

He never was good enough to be a number one option here or anywhere for that matter. Those who believed that he was capable of doing so had too much faith in him

Maybe now he know how good he had it in Utah. Can the Jazz sign him in the off season?

Or maybe just maybe, it's going be a shock to some but maybe he was overvalued and overrated while here. I know who He was so it comes as no surpise.Look at his past
went to Ok miss or Msu one them schools and had chance to be the man there. Didn't want it
transferred to Duke where he was not option 1 or even 2.
Drafted by Jazz, jazz fans expected a star when honestly looking at his past it wasn't in him.

well he better get used to being able to play off the ball because not a team here in the USA is going have Rodney with ball in his hands for long minutes.
