so as someone who is inclined to think the whole Hitler thing is a bit over the top hysterical but i don't live there so i'm not privy to a lot of what goes on .... can anyone give me a specific timeline of events / timeframe for when we'll know whether Trump is actually morphing into some kind of dictatorial Adolf and what structural changes he would make to achieve such a purpose ??
And don't come at me with the usual ****, clearly Trump is of defective moral character, plays to people's fears etc. etc. I'm not interested, he's a tossbag. This is a genuine question, i am not interested in endless articles of what "may" happen or what Trump "could" do. Convince me of exactly what he would do if he gets in that you're worried about in terms of him being a real Hitleresque figure and what changes he could make realistically and when exactly. Be specific ??
I won't respond to attacks or bs.
He has already told his attorney general (William Barr) that he wants to execute people who disagree with him. He had to be talked down on a regular basis.
He said when the looting starts the shooting starts.
He said that drug dealers should be executed.
He has said he wants generals like Hitler's.
He tried to overturn an election to stay in power.
He thinks immigrants poison the blood of our nation.
He constantly attacks the media. He wants to be the sole provider of information/propaganda. He is anti free press.
He praises authoritarian dictators regularly.
I would say that none of those things are fire. Just lots of smoke. He hasn't executed millions of Jews.
I dont think he will ever commit acts as atrocious as Hitler did if he is elected again. I still believe in our government and checks and balances. I wouldn't be surprised if he were to try to use his power to kill and imprison immigrants and people who criticize him. I hope he will be stopped if he tries to do those things. If he isn't stopped then I don't think it will be millions of people that are killed and imprisoned. Much less than that.
I don't really think it matters if he is as bad as Hitler. I don't think he is as bad as Hitler. The fact that this discussion is even happening is enough of a reason to vote for his opponent, no matter what anyone thinks of the opponent, in my opinion.
It's insane that this election is even close.
