Look at kanter's body type. He's actually kind of toned and muscular. And he is very young. I think he could grow into a bigger body type. He could pack on some more muscle. And I think he will. I think you can tell a lot of times by looking at a man's neck, head, and shoulders. And in particular his jaws. He has the beginning features of an alpha male. He has square and proportionate features. He's not real long but doesn't have real short arms. Like Hoffa did. He looked like a t Rex. Also Hoffa didnt look proportional. His body looked weird. Kosta also looked wierd. He had a hunch back and didn't look like an alpha male. Now it doesn't always mean that these features will make you a beast but it will help. Just look at kris humphries looks like alpha male.

Just look at kris humphries looks like alpha male. But doesn't play like one. The thing that worries me is that kanter doesn't play above the rim. He doesn't look real explosive. But doesn't look slow and he can dunk somewhat. He might end up sneaky athletic like dwill or hayward. I think he will be good
I'm not blind. I saw a couple of plays when they were isolated where Kosta got blocked by Kanter and another where Kanter completely took Kosta out of the play. Kosta made a few put backs, as well, but not when Kanter was guarding him.

Well, you obviously are messing something up. First time Kosta entered he took it right to Kanter and scored layup plus 1 over him, then he blocked Kanter on the other side. Then he dunked couple times and scored another layup over Kanter. In that game Kanter was absolutely dominated by Kosta as I said he scored 9 pts vs Kanters 0pts. I think thats why Kanter did not even play in second half in that game as he looked useless vs Greece and Kosta in particular.
thanks for the insight. It's good to hear opinions of people that have watched actual games of Kanter, and hear good reviews of Kanter.I watched a show a couple nights ago with Shaq, Reggie Miller, Charles Barkley, Chris Weber, etc and they all said in response to a question that they didn't get much of a chance to play when they were rookies. These guys are stars and they needed time as a rookie to develop. So will Kanter. To make matters worse the Jazz are loaded with bigs so time on the court will be limited.
That being said, I watched every game he played with Turkey. Kanter is not a bust. I guarantee you one thing, Kanter can rebound. I always look for one skill that a player has to see if they can play in the NBA and Kanter's skill is rebounding. He is terrific. Even more encouraging is that Kanter looked like a chicken with is head cut off the first couple of games, as he was constantly running to set screens. He never let a play develop and you could just see the game was too fast for him. However, he improved so quickly that by the end he was clearly one of the best players Turkey had, if not the best. Give the kid a chance he will make you happy.

The reason I have high hope for Kanter is because Callipari recruited him and speaks extremely high of him. Love him or hate him Callipari has one of the best eyes for talent.
Kanter would have probably dominated college ball like Sullinger did. He has an advanced physique to most college students. Of course Cal wanted him. After that it was his job to pimp him to the NBA. That helps UK's program by proving to recruits coach Cal will promote your voyage to the NBA.
