What's new

How long are you going to tollerate losing?

Ahh... had enough of this discussion... we'll just have to see what actually happens during the season I guess.

Let's put it this way, I wouldn't be surprised Favors, Kanter & Burke started getting "DNP" at the end of the season...

For the record I never thought what GS was wrong. I thought it was smart.

I think us taking is smart.

I will be rooting for the Jazz to win every night, but, thankful for every loss.

If that happens then we are the same as GSTankers and I will be pissed.

Hell yes. Let us hope our young guys suck so bad that we don't have a core and must get a top 2 lottery pick to have a chance in three years down the road when Kevin O'Connor will look like a genius and you'll all eat crow. I hope our young five of Kanter-Favors-Hayward-Gobert-Burke suck so so bad next year so we can lose hope of them and trade them all to tank the 2014-2015 season too.

Big difference....

GS was trying to be a playoff team...

Remember Mark Jackson promised they'd be a playoff team his first year..

Then Curry got injured and they saw that they were likely to just miss the playoffs and realized they wouldn't have a top pick in a decent draft....

So they traded there top scorer for an injured player.... Yup an injured player... Off the top of my head I can't think of a trade happening involving a high salary injured player...

Then the told Curry his ankle was healed yet and worst of all took out there perfectly healthy promising rookie Klay Thompson out of the 4th quarters of close games at the end if the season and let Dleague scrubs loose!!!!!

They had to loose 22 of the last 26 games to barley tie the raptors for a coin toss!!!

That is What you call a Tank job!!!

Are the Jazz tanking we don't know yet... All the jazz have done is give the opportunity for our young guys to play big minutes and prove themselves as lottery picks...

They didn't trade our vets, they didn't even play our young guys over the vets, they let them walk!!

Hell they offered Millsap an extension (Probably kicking himself after only getting a 2year deal)!!!

So I would definitely say the jazz are doing this much differently then GS!!!

This is ridiculous. That injured player was Bogut, who has helped them a lot and is a part of their plans moving forward. Like I've said a thousand times before, you, Stoked, PKM can justify this all you want, but ask anyone outside of Utah what we are doing, and they will say competing with Philly and Boston for the #1 pick.

Can you imagine the firestorm on these boards if the C5 start getting DNPs handed to them? Chaos and some damn interesting threads.

LOL.. yeah.. we have so little backups though (part of the plan?), I foresee quite a few of our young guys getting niggling injuries right ear the end...

This.... what GS did was especially smart cause they would not have even had a draft pick had thet not tanked

Repped for having the guts to say it

Edut: I have given out to much recently

OK, again, you are changing the arguement. Utah is rebuilding and will suck. I think we are all glad that the youth get the reigns.

That is not what GSTankers did. They had a group of talented players that they did not play in an effort to throw individual games. The destination is the same but the roads used to get there are dramatically different.

I am arguing the road taken and you are arguing the destination.

I would be surprised and if that happens I will admit I was wrong and you were right.
If it doesn't happen, were you wrong?? (I didn't think so.)

With all due respect, I think I'm gonna side with Bill Simmons on this one...

Wtf cares what Bill Simmons said.. ? Unreal.

You mean people looking at things only peripherally? Why not ask people IN Utah that may have a better understanding of Jazz strategy rather than those that take a quick peek and think they know it's just as simple as "lose for a draft pick."
