All I remember about his 34 point game is that Denver's defensive effort was laughable at best. Yes, the end of the season matters, but it can also be misleading for fans that expect him to pickup from were he left off right away.

In the last 13 games of the 2010-11 season, Hayward averaged 13.4 ppg while playing 31 mpg (chose that stretch because Hayward played 20+ min in every game). On one hand you like to assume he will be an improved player and receive more opportunities - while on the other hand you know he won't shoot with the same efficiency he did during that stretch either - so balancing the two out I say he'll stay right around 12-13ppg as a starter.
Regardless of his scoring average, as we saw in the 4th-qtr of the win in LA - he brings alot more to the table besides scoring.
LMAO, I did not lose anything to you you delusional homer! So I am childish, lol but you not at sticking to those last three month instead of looking at all season? Give me a break.... you can't erase first part of the season where he plain sucked!!! Good at least you not as blind as the Hayward worshiper who thinks two games vs Lakers and Nuggets makes Hayward a future all star.
Let me ask you one last question... If Hayward would be playing for Kings and had similar stats and end of the season, would you still proclaim him the "star" you
think he is going to be? Be honest!
So let me give you two sets of stats and tell me which player is more likely to succeed in the NBA
Player A: 26 mins/per, FG = 45%, FG3 = 25%, 10.6 pts/per, 5 rbds, 1 assist, 1.9 blks.
Player B: 17 mins/per FG = 49%, FG3 = 47%, 5.4 pts/per, 2 rbds, 1 assist. .3 blks.
I'd say it's pretty even. Scoring difference is based on shot attempts as Player B has a much better percentage, especially from 3-PT range. Player A is a better rebounder and a good shot-blocker.
OK, so you've probably guessed Player A is Kirilenko in his rookie year and Player B is Hayward. Of course, AK improved greatly over his next few seasons. And Hayward won't.
Thank you. Holy ****, the guy doesn't get it. HAYWARD IS A ****ING ROOKIE, the last few months DO matter. I fail to understand how this has not clicked with you yet.
Dude, you could tell from the day one AK was special - thats why he was selected to ALL NBA rookie team. Hayward will never be as good as AK. As I said - good role/complimentary player. Not ALL-star, not All NBA team of any kind.
PS: Andrei Kirilenko never made any three of the ALL-NBA teams.
If 3 of the 5 Players that AK beat out for the 5th final spot on the ALL NBA First Rookie Team were Vladmir Radmanovic, Željko Rebrača, Jamaal Tinsley, and Eddie Griffin then perhaps this ALL NBA first rookie team award of that year isn't as exactly prestigious as you think.
Epic fail. You did not know who drafted him and now you saying he never made to ALL NBA defensive team ? Plus as I already said - he made it to ALL NBA rookie team. That counts as ALL NBA team of any kind as well.
lol, what a tool... you should take reading comprehension courses yourself. Who was talking about first, second or third ALL-NBA team??? Try harder.Haha nope, I stand by my statement. Andrei Kirilenko has never made any of the three (aka the first, second, or the third) ALL-NBA teams. Take some reading comprehension courses.
I didn't need just the end of the season to think he could be a star. I saw it in him in preseason last year.

annual National Basketball Association (NBA) honor bestowed on the best players in the league following every NBA season. The voting is conducted by a panel of sportswriters and broadcasters throughout the United States and Canada.[1] The team has been selected in every season of the league's existence, dating back to its inaugural season in 1946.[2] The All-NBA Team is composed of three five-man lineups—a first, second, and third team, typically comprising a total of 15 roster spots
Here is a stone cold fact. AK never made the All-NBA team, and never will. But Hayward still has a chance. My money is on the horse that is still in the race.
I was not referring to the defensive or rookie teams, since those ARE NOT ALL-NBA teams. They are called the All-Defensive Team, and the All-Rookie Team. NOT ALL-NBA. .
