How the Western Conference is Shaping Up

Let's be a little more realistic here. Ron quoted SOME things that were out of context to get his point (that were later clarified).
Here some points that I'm 100% correct so far from the posts that I made:
1. I knew for a fact Hayward was leaving a year+ before free agency.
2. I'm a 100% correct about the Jazz being completely garbage without Gobert (We were 2 games away from being literally the worst team in the NBA before his return).
3. Called 2-2 against the Nuggets
4. Potentially 2-2 against he Blazers.
5. I still think the T-wolves would be slightly better if Jimmy didn't go down. Same could be said for NOL and Spur (they're still putting up a fighters chance to get into the playoffs without star players where we were absolute trash without Gobert). We would 100% be one of the worst teams if Gobert was still out (called that and was proven).
6. Called Hood was garbage, still is (was LITERALLY the worst defensive player on the Jazz).
7. Called Burks was garbage and won't play, still is and isn't playing.
8. Called Donovan would be great. He is.

I'm not "hating" on the Jazz. I enjoy the Jazz, I love watching the Jazz, and I hope they always do well but some times some fanz need a little dose of reality and I'm not afraid to say it. We MIGHT get the 4th seed, I HOPE we get the 4th seed but losing Hayward for literally nothing is still a step back in any shape or form. We would definitely have more wins if Gobert didn't get injured but that could be said for the Wolves, Spurs, Nol, Warriors, etc... The fact is, injuries happen and it's always going to happen. It's "next man up" and we literally do not have anyone on our roster comparable to the impact of Gobert if he goes down.

On another note, I need to bump up old posts to say "I told you so" or I could bump up a WHOLE lot about Hayward and Broncster ;)

U didn't know for a fact Hayward was leaving. All speculation on your part unless u know him personally, also didn't we have a 6 game win streak when Rudy suffered his first injury which led to the famous trade Gobert thread. Hood isn't trash, never was, just not a #1 option we tried to make him. A lot of people including me thought Mitchell would be good. Also, the stretch of Gobert's second injury was in December where we played all of the top teams. Even with Gobert we would've lost more then we won, and the jazz did well to win some of those games they won against Boston and Spurs and there's a couple others as well. There are a ton of holes in your argument boy

Pessimists typically see themselves as realists. Optimists typically see themselves as realists. People of all dispositions tend to notice the things that support their view of the world and tend to overlook or minimize the things that go against their view of the world. In a very real sense, we create our own reality. No wonder we so often have disagreements over what really happened.

Do those people in chat also say just as many positive things? Or, more positive than negative things about the jazz? A fan would typically be inclined to point out the good of the team more often than the bad I would think.

I think we all say negative things about the jazz and their players. I have recently been pointing out how poorly Royce has been on offense lately. I also definitely say more negative stuff than positive stuff about dante and therefore understand when someone calls me a dante hater. I kinda am and I hope he makes me look foolish someday.
But I post way more positive stuff about the jazz cause I’m a jazz fan and I like the jazz and it’s more fun for me to be positive rather than negative.

Of course they do. Everyone (and I mean EVERYONE) in chat has said great things about Jazz. I only pointed out the negative because he brought up the negative. I can list all the good if you want? Just like EVERYONE has said negative things about the Jazz. I might be critical of the Jazz at times but so are other people (like everyone does at times). That doesn't make me any less of a fan then the next person.

Anyways, I don't personally believe anyone on this forum is a "negative" person. Why? Cause I don't know anyone on this forum. I don't know what they do, or what they've done. People that like to bag on people for being critical of the Jazz (yamers, carolina, fish, etc) doesn't make them a "negative person." They could be great people on the other side of the screen and I'm willing to accept that. I'm not going to judge someone's character in real life because they have a difference of opinions. I feel that's wrong (but alas, that's my opinion).

I'm SURE everyone that has or is critical of me (or anyone else) are great people in real life and I appreciate and accept what other's opinions are. Whether it's a good or bad opinion, different or the same, doesn't make them necessarily a 'bad' or 'negative' person. That's just something everyone is entitled to and I can accept that

Who's to say I didn't about Gordo ;).

I had nothing to do with the trade Gobert thread and would never warrant it. December was a brutal stretch and I definitely agree. We win some of of those with Rudy but we are REALLY bad without him. That's just an honest fact. Like I said, we were 2 games away from being DEAD LAST in the NBA. He comes back and now we're god like

Sounds like everyone in here could use a serving of Ekpe's Udon noodles.

You are way over thinking things. You post negative things more often than positive things. That makes you come across as a hater (whether you really are or not, your posts make you appear that way). People call you as they see you based on your posts (all we have to go off)
If that upsets you then you can change the way you post (you have no control over how everyone else posts, you only control what you post).
If that doesn’t upset you then keep posting how you always have and just ignore the people who criticize your posting style.

No big deal really

That's reasonable.

When it comes to my sports team I am definitely an optimist. I don't really see a reason not to be. I only watch sports for fun and entertainment.
