Howard gets the starting nod again!!

Starting Carroll or Evans isn't going to make up the difference. Get over it.

The point is that for every minute Howard plays that's roughly another minute Millsap isn't playing the SF, meaning it's another minute Favors isn't on the floor. This isn't really a Carroll/Howard issue. It's a Favors/Howard issue and the answer is so clear it's not even contestable, well, except for coaching staff.

Point is Jazz aren't beating the Spurs no matter lineup.

so?

then we could have just missed the playoff and gotten some draft picks.
jsut quit lay down and go home, instead of giving your best your all.
jazz didnt use the big lin-up in the first half, all thanks to howard starting and going 0 for a million

my starting lineup preference at the 3 position.

1) start favors at the 4/5 and millsap at the 3 - obviously our best lineup and probably should be #1. The should all be playing 35-40min a night as we have no need to rest players. Gives us the best chance to win

1a) start carroll- as this is what we have done the last part of the season and showed great hustle and energy. Give favors and the 3 bigs the majority of the minutes though.

2) start hayward at the 3, burks at the 2. Will never happen, but i would love to see it.

should never have happened - howard start after being out of the lineup 2 months and ruining any momentum or chemistry this team has gained going into the playoffs.

Bad move by ty corbin. I'm pushing for a nate mcmillan hire in the off season

please

Who knows? Ty could look like a genius for playing "older CJ" (aka Howard), IF he has one of those nights.

EXACTLY!!! Which is why it's even more mind-boggling why Corbin is so hesistant to unleash the young inexperienced players. Play the young guns, get em experience...nobody was expecting the Jazz to make a deep playoff run anyways, so it's not like Corbin will get fired for losing in the 1st round...what the hell is he scared of? ****!

One thing I would like to point about Howard is that he is an excellent defensive rebounder. Carroll might get a couple more hustle offensive boards, but Howard really helps solidify our defensive rebounding. Howard is our only wing player who consistently crashes the defensive glass.

Yuck. The only emotion i feel when i read this post is pure disgust. Howard leaves a bad taste in my mouth everytime i watch him play and chuck up shots. Such a worthless "vet".

....I can't believe you guys! Your all over me when I point out the uselessness of these "hip hop" clowns disguised as NBA players...and when one of them ends up on the Jazz you jump on them as being the pathetic pukes they are!

Not that big of a deal, honestly. But seeing this forum have a collective stroke every other day is sort of amusing.

thats the howard we dont want.
if he'll be playign for his next paycheck he will be chucking, wont ever pass. will take 10 shots for 8 points

...heck, we'd take 8 points on 10 shots....that means he shot 4-10! 40%. More likely he's going to be 2-12 with 4 turnovers.

Carroll would be a +16 and Howard would be a -192 don't you see?

yet he al negates his rbeounds by chucking away. being selfsih on the offensive end

I'm not excited about it but you have to be positive. When Howard plays well he's really useful so I just hope he's on.

That was over 4 years and 3 knee surgeries ago.

I don't like Howard starting either, but it's really not a huge deal. As long as the young guys get minutes, what matters most is who plays how much and who finishes.
