No Daybreak is a few miles South of Herriman. The worst that Daybreak will be getting is lots of smoke. The wind has been carrying the smoke to the North all evening. I live in Riverton, around 12800 S. I have a very good viewpoint of this fire. I have been watching it most of the evening. This mountain has been on fire several times in the 10 years since my parents moved to Riverton. This is definitely the worst of all the fires I have personally seen. The fire has reached the base of the mountain. It is confirmed that at least two homes in Herriman have burned down, and possibly more. My sister lives in Herriman with her husband and daughter. I went over there with some family around 8:30 PM. The smoke was so thick in Herriman. We could no longer see the flames from there as we could from Riverton. The smoke was burning our eyes, and was causing me to cough. The roads into and out of Herriman were gridlocked. Cell phones were not placing or receiving calls. It's all pretty crazy. At this moment I can still see the flames from my house. This fire is burning out of control, and the wind just keeps blowing it further down the mountain side and closer to the homes. This was all started by machine gun training at Camp Williams being done by the Utah National Guard.
