What's new

I can see it now, eh?

Suspended for "Gayward"? Why couldn't it be the "stupid" definition. Just like "That's so gay" which is acceptable on the board? Then again, maybe it was just a typo. G and H are right next to each other ya know.

It homophobic, Clutch, we know that now. End of story. Bum was warned not to be homophobic, and he has been deemed to be homophobic. That's all ya need to know.

Bum is an avowed homosexual, aint he? Just goes to show ya, I spect. Homophobia can and will rear it's ugly head anytime, anyplace.

Yeah... I give either of those possibilities about 0.001% probability. And I give it about a 99.999% probability that he was pushing the limits by intentionally combining gay with Hayward's name to see how the moderators would react.

Also, there was another post that appeared about the same time that went a bit further than merely using the word "gay" and was a bit more blatant and insensitive - - plus the fact that both posts showed up shortly after the announcement was posted definitely gave the appearance of intentionally testing the boundaries.

Homophobia is rampant, I tellya. For example:

"In a Newsweek column titled "Straight Jacket," openly gay writer Ramin Setoodeh argues that gay actors rarely can pull off a convincing straight role...[Kristen Chenoweth called] the article "horrendously homophobic,"...[saying] "No one needs to see a bigoted, factually inaccurate article that tells people who deviate from heterosexual norms that they can't be open about who they are and still achieve their dreams."

I didn't see the article, but that's cool. I now know that I didn't "need to."

Ya don't need no weatherman to know which way the wind blows. This gay writer is obviously "bigoted" and "horrendously homophobic." He gave less than exemplary marks to a homosexual acting friend of hers in a review. If a homosexual gives an acting performance, you MUST like it. If ya don't, ya done proved yourself to be a homophobe. Purty simple, actually.

Also, considering at one point in time his listed location included the phrase "Hordon Gayward" I think the typo explanation is very unlikely.

So, it's well-established that it wasn't a typo, and... what?

That he was openly and defiantly challenging the mods, that it?

Kicky, both you and Colton have opined about what the mods might "vote for," but somehow I get the notion that you two may not have a much better idea than the rest of us.
