What's new

I have seen the future...

Its possible, he was very young, he's added muscle, sprinters don't peak until their mid twenties, i'd go so far as to say he'd be close to having the fastest first couple of steps in the league.

He is obviously very fast to anyone who watches him play (there was a play last night where d-rose and X were racing down the out of bounds line near the scorers table and d rose wasnt even in the same league as X speed wise. It wasnt close) except mvp.

Is this the best he's ever looked? Is Dante really about to turn the corner?

For pretty much the first time Dante isn't showing signs of fatigue when he's out there. Opponents look slow when he turns on the afterburners.

No. We know what he can and can't do. I'm sure he'll improve over time, but I think we're past the unknown quantity phase.

Really? I still have moments where I think he's going to become something special so to me he's still an unknown. I can't remember a player who has been such a tease.

In answer to your first question, statistically no.
This years numbers:
40% from the field
28% from 3
45% efg
72% free throw
4 rebounds per 36
4.7 assists per 36
0.4 steals per 36
0.4 blocks per 36
2.1 turnovers per 36
16.1 points per 36

Last years numbers:
48% from the field
28% from three
51% efg
81% free throw
4 rebounds per 36
6.6 assists per 36
1.2 steals per 36
0.5 blocks per 36
3.1 turnovers per 36
17.5 points per 36

So looking at those numbers he was better last year. And neither years numbers are very good tbh.

Lets hope these numbers dont represent him turning a corner cause i want him to be better than these numbers.

He has sucked this year at times, but I think he might be about to click. The difference is his aggressiveness. And maybe more importantly his stamina. Was the Boston game a lie? Why does Dante torment us so?

And his numbers from last year were from our winning streak which I think skews them a bit.

I agree about his agressiveness and stamina..... but like i have always said, how good he will be will come down to his shooting. Which still sucks.
