I Kind of Feel Sorry for Mo

When Mo Williams starts becoming socialistic and gives me some of his 8 million he's made annually. I'll start shedding crocodile tears.

Does a mouse feel sorrow for an eagle that hasn't eaten for all day?

And how much of that does he still have?

Hey, even rich, famous guys get depressed too. Plus the dude has like 6 kids... how are they all going to afford Maserati's if he's not playing?

He shouldn't be the highest player on a team, for sure. I just don't think it's accurate that you can't win with Big Al. You just have to be smart enough not to pay him like he is your best player. I really thought this would happen, then the Michael Jordan stepped in.

Best case for him and for a team having him, you play him like 28 mpg and he is your 3rd best player. You pick spots in games were you feed him the ball in the post when he has mismatches, and when he doesn't, you just use him to space the floor.

With Utah he was being used too much and played along side a PF that wasn't able to cover his weaknesses.

That's why Jefferson made so much more sense in ATL than Sap. Now they're playing undersized at two positions. I could have rooted for a Horford-Jefferson combo. No offense to Sap, that wasn't the best fit for him. He's stuck in limbo. Again.

ATL and HOU should swap him and Asik. Better for both teams.

A.K.A. Ian Clark's sig move.
Yeah, and he's making 200K, not betwwin 5-9 mil. In fact, I would bet that Clark could reach the same level of ability as Mo, based on what we've seen so far. Mo was and All Star, yes, but that was behind LeBron, where he didn't actually have to 'run an offence'.

I had high hopes for Mo when we signed him last summer, but sadly he was a disappointment. Everyone thought CJ Miles was a "chucker", Mo gave new meaning to that word...

He appears to be the little puppy looking in on the looking glass. After he came to the Jazz KOC blew smoke about what a mistake was made not brining him back to the Jazz after his rookie year and then he gets hurt midway through the season and appeared to be an injured chucker the rest of the year. Then the front office decides to blow things up and the best Mo is looking at in the MLE from a team and I think most teams are close to being capped out. So that probably leads him signing a contract with someone like Lucas' and he theought he was going to get 9-10 million per year for at least 4 years.
Really sorry if he signs a vet minimum deal. What is that, $1.5M? I'd gladly take 1/10th of that. I was the biggest fan of Mo on this board...until he started to chuck. The Jazz dodged a bullet by only having him on a 1-yr deal.

Im just not impressed with Michael Jordan's Basketball IQ.....

I don't count anything before his official retirement!!!!

Okay, I don't disagree with the idea that a player can do better when put in a position where their weaknesses are mitigated and their strengths are allowed to flourish. But Al has so many weaknesses that are hard to mitigate. He's probably the least versatile 'star' in the NBA.

This is the #1 job of a coach. Which is another reason Al couldn't flourish here.

I'm willing to bet that puts him in the top 5% in career earnings among every second round pick ever to play in the NBA.

Rashard Lewis, Boozer, Manu, Arenas, Michael Redd & Memo made more money.

Maybe Monta Ellis

That's about it.
