Let Favors, Hayward, Burks, Kanter, DMC, Evans, 13, 14 & 21 marinate for a year then add a pick from the 2014 draft (Parker and Wiggins are thrown around) and go for it all.
Now we are speaking the same language.

I hope Shabazz goes before the Jazz pick.
The thing is, If they are going for cap space, unless they can dump Marion, it would make no sense to trade for burks and lose the benefit of a rookie salary then save money by actually signing their lottery pick.
Burks was a 14 pick (and a stretch at that). He hasn't proven anything in two years to warrant being traded straight up for anything better than a 14th pick anyways.
If Shabazz becomes Corey Maggette then he'd be great for us. Seriously, when was the last time we had a wing who had serious potential to put up 20 PPG?
I'm pretty sure Burks was projected like 6th man. And he was drafted 12-- Leonard was 14
Ya I remeber burks being mocked at between 6-8 so he was a steal at 12, not a stretch at 14 as scooty suggests.
Also I remember leonard being projected as high as 5...... wonder why he fell so damn far.... and I think leonard was taken like 16th or something (someone google it)
Edut: he was darfted 15th

I've never understood the Maggette love here. Especially now after we just endured the BigAl years. If that's who Bazz is, I say no thanks.
It's because for years he went off 30+ points against us. I think it had more to do with one legged harpring trying to defend him than anything Maggs actually ever did.
By draft day DX had Burks at 18, NBAdraft at 13, you're a bit off here.
I'm torn on Shabazz. On the one hand he has the offensive repertoire and the drive to pull the defense out of position, but I don't know how effective he'll be at finishing at the NBA level, and I don't know if he can pass or make plays otherwise. I know he's a guy who will take and sometimes make big shots, but I wonder how much he'll help his team win.
It's a bit the same concern I have with Carmello Anthony. Anthony is a very skilled offensive player who takes tough shots. There are some nights when he's on fire, but when he's not hitting, he actually hurts his team by not playing hard on defense and wasting possessions on offense. Denver has been just as good without him. Shabazz isn't at Carmello's level.
I think at the very least, Shabazz could be a 6th man-of-the-year candidate--a guy who comes in and lights up the opposing team's bench players then normally plays in the 4th quarter.
But then I ask myself, can't we get the same from Glen Rice Jr., Ricky Ledo or Archie Goodwin?
