What's new

If the Jazz make a draft day trade......Predict the trade.

12 and a future first for Terrence Jones and 18.

12 and a future first for the rights to Bogdan Bogdanovic and 13.

12, Trey Burke, GSW 2017 1st rd pick, for #7 and Will Barton (Only for Hezonja or a falling Porz/Manny Mudiay) - I'd then move more future picks or minor assets to try and move into the 1st again. Ideally for Jerian Grant, Tyus Jones, or Terry Rozier, But I wouldn't make this 2nd trade if I felt Andrew Harrison would fall to 42.

Move over DL, there's a new sheriff.

Three way trade... Celtics, Jazz, Mavericks...

Celtics receive 12, 54.
Jazz receive 16, 21, 33, 52.
Dallas receives Burke & 28.

Jazz draft Sam Dekker @ 16, Delon Wright @ 21, Snyder convinces Lindsey to take risk @ 33 and draft Robert Upshaw. With their own pick @ 42 Jazz draft Richaun Holmes. Draft and stash Daniel Diez @ 52.

Exum, Wright, Cotton
Hood, Burks, Millsap
Hayward, Dekker, Ingles
Favors, Booker, Holmes
Gobert, Upshaw

Pretty much the players I want. tehehehe. :o

More realistically... Bucks, Jazz. Mavericks, Jazz.

Jazz receive 17 & John Henson
Bucks receive 12

Jazz receive 21
Mavericks receive Burke & cash

Jazz draft Dekker @ 17, Wright @ 21, Holmes @ 42.

Exum, Wright, Cotton
Hood, Burks, Millsap
Hayward, Dekker, Ingles
Favors, Booker, Holmes
Gobert, Henson

Jazz won't move up.
Might trade back, but I doubt it..

I would like to see us trade the #12 for another future first in the '17 draft. By then we should really know what we've got as a team and would have two picks in addition to our own in a loaded draft. That's the draft to make a massive move and swing for the fences.

I like this^.

#12 for Mavs unprotected 2017.

They do not want three rookies.

They will try to combine to move up, or stash the second rounders. I say if they think they have a chance for Tomic or Pleiss, they move up for Johnson. If not, they move just ahead of Indy for Turner. Unless someone starts falling.

They can include Burke, but they do not want too. Burke has the hard work, leadership, and he listens to coaches. He has those type of skills to be an All Star. Wait until he gets closer to his pontential before trading him.

Jazz stay at 12 and draft whoever is highest rated (and still there) between Turner, Johnson, Kaminsky, Oubre or Booker. Then they want quality over quantity. . .

Trade 42, 54 and cash to move up into the mid-twenties targeting any of a falling Oubre, Looney, Hunter, Dekker, RHJ, Grant, Wright or Anderson.

This. The Jazz only have 2 more years of Hayward and 3 more years of Favors/Gobert locked up. They should be trying to add vets, not rooks.

They should be trying to add both. Top 9 players right now in the rotation are Gobert, Favors, Booker, Hayward, Hood, Burks, Jingles, Exum and Burke. That's your playoff rotation. Depending on who the Jazz draft and sign in free agency, there's room to bump Booker, Jingles and/or Burke out of that lineup. Most rookies probably won't do that, so they look to free agency to fill those spots, but still can afford to draft the best 2 players they can acquire and let them develop for the future when tough decisions on Favors/Hayward need to be made.

Does anyone else wonder, if the Jazz trade with Pistons, if Jennings will be involved? Something like 8, Jennings for 12th, Burke and a future 1st from G.S. or some future 2nds. Pistons free up an 6-7 million, Burke could make a great back up to Reggie, 12th pick could add depth with Turner. Jazz add a vet pg but take his contract on for the 8th pick.

Jazz trade 12 to Portland for 23 and 2017 unprotected 1st. Jazz pick Delon Wright who becomes a lock-down perimeter defender, and makes 2nd team all defense by year two.

First off, the Jazz are not trading Hood to move up 4 spots. Makes no sense in this draft. We will combine picks as assets to move up IF we move up at all.

My prediction echos several others and has been posted much earlier in other posts. Jazz trade DOWN in the draft to pick up one of several similar tier players from lower positions in the draft while picking up another asset. That could be #12 for #16 and #28. It could be #12 for #13 - 20 + player/pick. We can be patient and pickup a guy that falls to us, but if no one falls then the main play will be trading down.

Only see the Jazz trading out if WCS falls to them-- my guess is a trade with Boston.
