If the Jazz select Brandon Knight........

I just watched a random Brandon Knight game, vs. Ohio State, and MAN did he look horrible that game. Completely generic player off the ball and when he got it, he either took crazy threes or threw the ball away. At one point, after two turnovers, his coach took the ball out of his hands and had someone else bring the ball up the court.

He did hit the game winning shot, but so did Sundiata Gaines.

Maybe at 12, but NOT at 3, PLEASE.

I think the Blazers have less of a need for PF with Aldridge, and I think Millsap has a place on this team for the long-haul. I don't think he should start anymore and I think his minutes should be cut a little, and I don't think he'll make a stink about it either (in case that's your or anyone's concern). Harris to me CLEARLY has no place on a rebuilding team (realistically, he'll be in his 30's by the time this team is starting to sniff contender and he plays a game reliant on his speed).

But WOULD I trade Sap in that scenario? I don't know. That would depend highly on who's drafted this year.

While I agree with you and feel the same about Millsap, I think Portland would do it. They are thin at PF/C. They have Aldridge, Camby, Chris Johnson (rookie), Earl Barron, and I guess you could count Oden too. They need at least a solid 3 big man rotation to contend. They've already made a play for him, and he succeeded only justifying that toxic contract even more. They'd bite.

As for who we draft, it's either Kanter, Williams, or Knight with the #3 at this point, which is early.
So, if the Jazz draft Kanter/Williams, they'll probably go small with the 12th pick (Jimmer!). If they pick Knight or another guard, they'll try to go for a big Euro at 12.

I would draft Kanter or Williams. You get your guard in Matthews and a backup SF. You draft a skilled big man, increasing the front court size and making room for Favors to develop. And you get Jimmer or whoever can shoot.

I heard they were interested in acquiring him from New Jersey. And I think someone else wondered if they'd swap Matthews for him. Dunno.

ah hell yeah. Bringing back Matthews would be sweet.

This means we'd have to hope Watson would re-sign. And, we'd have to lean on him quite a bit. I'm betting Ty wants some continuity with at least one floor general.

That is why we shouldn't draft Knight. It is a joke. Everyone wants him because of the recent Rose hype. Same coach.
When Knight isn't half the athlete Rose is. He is a horrible passer he has horrible shot selection. And we want take a chance on him why!?

Devin Harris is better than Knight right now. Why draft a guy that is such a huge risk. And Devin Harris isn't going to get the same value back. Almost every team has a point guard for the future. Its a point guard league! That doesn't mean it takes one to win. It means every one has a point guard already.

There are plenty of PG's who don't have playmaking abilities with bad shot selection and score first.

Unless Kanter has bad knees and doesn't check out he should be the draft pick. No question about it. Biyombo should be taken over Knight. Knight is the most overrated player in this draft. Its insane.

But lets go ahead and waste the 3rd pick in the draft on a player who will be our back up point guard for 2 years and he won't even develop enough being the back up.

This is the most asinine thing i have ever read. Knight is a stud. I am sure you have not seen any games other than the tourney

So funny how people hate on brandon, but love freaking kanter. Get this through your thick domes....he wants to play pf. Case closed. He is not a center. Can we get off this mess already?

Id much rather trade Millsap for Petruis, Lopez, & the 13th pick, Then Millsap for Matthews/Babbit. Maybe Millsap for some package including Batum Matthews

Knight might be a good NBA player... Someday..

I like him at 12... NOT at 3.

Lets stay BIG at 3. Biyombo or Kanter. This is backed up also by the dominance that bigs have had in this year's playoffs (along with all the others). Biyombo could be the Tyson Chandler, Ibaka, Noah, etc that we need. Kanter might be the best player in this year's draft.

This.

I would never in a million years trade Sap for Matthews and Babbit. That wildly overrates Matthews and wildly underrates Sap.

i should give u credit. u know what ure talking about, i agree with u most of the time (except kirilenko issue)

And i will counter you and say brandon knight may be the best player in this years draft. Really we are all just throwing **** out there acting like we know best ( me included). So. Here is me just talking out my ***.

And you are just plain numbing. So simple and narrow minded. Kanter sucks *** and the jazz will not be drafting him. I will throw dollars behind this statement.

Ummmm...

17 points, 42 % shooting, 4 assists and 3 turnovers.

those were his college stats. That doesn't exactly scream #3 pick and future PG of the Utah Jazz to me.

But whatever, I'm just talking out of my ***.

Using your logic....give me kanters stats. And not just one freaking game dude.

16.6 points, 46.1%, 6.5 assists, 4.0 turnovers. Name that player? I'll give you a hint, B Knight replaced him this year.

So in other words, B Knight isn't nearly as good as John Wall (next Gilbert Arenas)?

Thanks for making my argument against the drafting Knight for me!

In no way am I saying he is as good a prospect as Wall but you really think those numbers are that far off? I was mislead to think that your argument was based on the number of turnovers, cause the other numbers don't seem all that bad to me. You could argue that Wall has better players to dump it off to as well but idc about that.
