What's new

I'm taking the Shawn's barbecue ghost peppers Buffaloe wings challenge.

If so, this is a damned good idea log.

I have done a couple of hot wing competitions and this was the best technique. I haven't seen any places this would be against the rules as long as it fits in the time limit.

In getting ready for the wings challenge I ate 5 habaneros. Didn't drink any milk, and and was fine. After that I grounded two more habanero's into ten wings and ate all in 3 minutes. I got this.

I did some sort of one of these at an Indian restaurant. They did warn right on the menu that it was more about heat than flavor. I got three fourths of the way through and just stopped eating because it didn't taste very good and I wasn't having fun. They called the picture wall the Wall of Phal. They are out of business now. I should probably just say I ate it all and had my picture up.

I put hot sauce of one type or another on 90% of the food I eat. I don't' typically just eat hot peppers raw or stuff that is made to be ridiculously spicy just cause, but there are very few dishes that claim to be spicy that I think are really all that spicy.

Here's some soup I ate in Hong Kong, no challenge or anything, just a regular menu item...

Didn't get my picture on the wall... But since none of you are probably going to Hong Kong, should probably just say they put pics up for eating their hot pepper fish soup.

vid or it didnt happen / dont care

Is there a way to post a vid and not make it accessible to this idiot?

But honestly I don't know how to post vids or pictures on here. I hate computers and they hate me. Don't know what the hell I'm doing with them. If I can't figure it out you guys can always PM me your emails and I can send it that way. Maybe someone can walk me through it when the time comes. I start this challenge at 5:30 tonight.

I wonder if your nerve receptors don't bind capsaicin very well, or if you produce a feedback enzyme that breaks it down quickly. I love spicy food but I'm closer to the other end of the spectrum and that bowl of soup would fry me. I ate a piece of habanero that was about half the size of a standard pencil eraser and my mouth and lips burned for 45 minutes. I think I have a relatively low tolerance for actual physical/chemical burns as well (peppers don't burn but produce the sensation).
