I think there are two big differences between the success of Evans vs the failure of Hayward. First Evans is very athletic. Second is roles. The second unit has a defined play they run for Evans which leverages on his athleticism and is successful. For Hayward he was used to being the man and running the show. This gives him confidence and a sense of control. I think that is part of the reason Deron was bugged by Hayward because he had some swagger and wanted to control things and not follow Deron's lead. Deron has put him in his place and he is a role player trying to get used to following and how to play off the ball in a new offense. In short the system is not designed to levage on Hayward's strengths which are leadership on the court, basketball IQ, etc. I think he just needs to learn how to play as a role player. If he can adapt he will be sucessful and I think he will. If he can't then he is a bust. Sort of reminds me a little of how AK used to be the man and then struggled so much when Deron became the star point guard.
