Is Brandon Rush Done?

Anyway, did you hear about Jimmer's workouts? Dude is going to be a ****ing beast in the NBA.

I dont really now how i got into this arguement with ya numb.
My whole stance is that a healthy rush probably isn't as good as people think he would be in thier mind.

When we got mo williams everyone was super excited about him.... great leader, great shooter, super quick, can stay in front of his man, etc etc.
When we got marvin....... Great length, great defender, shot over 40% from 3, was the number 2 pick, was just in a bad situation in atlanta, etc etc.
when we got raja........ great defender, good leader, tough, can hit the 3, kobe killer, etc etc.
Devin harris........ was an allstar, super fast, blah blah blah.
josh howard..... uh nevermind, screw josh howard
Al jefferson....... people though him and deron together would have us contending for something.

Now brandon rush....... 3 and D guy, great defender, good size, 40 percent 3 point shooter, gonna be the best wing on the jazz, gonna take minutes from burks and hayward.

Truth is that he is a very average player coming back from a serious knee injury that is out of shape, yet he was greatly overhyped by alot of smart people on this website.

I would say that between his ACL tear and his pending free agency, nobody should have expected Brandon Rush to be a piece moving forward. He'd either have had a 'great' year on a bad team and not be back, or he'd be permanently affected by his injury. The best case, actually, is that he has just a terrible year and that Jazz retain him for pennies and he fully recovers before or during next season.

Has Rush not heard of this new fangled thing called the gym where they have these wonderous things like exercise bikes, pools, weight machines and free weights? Maybe if he joined one his fat might start to disappear, he could get himself in better cardio shape and his confidence might come back.

i'm gonna venture a guess and say you've never torn your acl

it's still difficult for me to walk some days and i desperately want to get back into the shape i was before.

Also, I bet memo could hit an open jumper.
Wish I could say the same for rush.

If we are gonna bash kanter for his poor play even though he is coming back from injury and is extremely inexperienced and raw, then I think its fair to bash rush despite him coming back from injury too.

Personally I think they both are better than what they are showing right now but the fact is kanter looks pretty bad and rush looks like he doesn't even belong, or want to be on the court.

Iono man, when Memo came back from his injury in 2010 he was passing up WIIIDE open 3 point shots and clanking (and airballing) free throws.

Miss "Slokur" (jf fave nickname) though. If only Kanter could become the next Memo...

So your answer to the question that the OP asked is a yes then?

I think that happened because most of us fans wanted to find a positive in that trade, something that would help us in the future.

Besides two unprotected draft picks, three second rounders, assurance that the young guys would get playing time, a shot at a nice pick for the best draft since 2008 (if not 2003)? Seems to me the only payoff to the trade was the future and that Rush actually represents the only concrete piece to that trade.

Late draft picks aren't the greatest to me at least, Not signing our guys back was assuring the young guys played and even now Kanter gets screwed over, #22 draft pick from GS might be good, I guess we can use it to move up or something. It was a good trade for tanking reasons, most fans don't want to tank (only the smart ones).
