Did I miss something? I've been out of the loop if Earl said something to the media.
Earl was upset that Ty had decided earlier this week that Tinsley was now the backup PG. So he made a comment to the media that it was unfortunate that his injury came after the trade deadline. He said that he would talk with his agent and go from there. Next game after saying all this, he was back to his backup position. Tinsley is back to the end of the bench again.

I was thinking that Corbin played Watson because he did a better job guarding Thomas, who was going by Harris like he was standing still. And in fact, if the refs got the call right on that drive near the end when Earl didn't foul Thomas, the Jazz likely would've won the game.

I detest the incessant whining on this board - I rarely come here after losses because people drone on about the same old ****.
But when a team is coming off 8 wins in a row at home and the coach decides to change the formula just to assuage a veteran - that's a bad decision. Actually it's worse than a bad decision - that's weakness. And when that bad decision/weakness leads to a loss against a below average team at home, that a frickin' meltdown.
Earl Watson is a decent NBA PG. At times he's good; but essentially he's stictly back-up talent. Always has and always will be. But right now there TWO other PG's on this team that are playing better than him. If any one can give me a reason why he was finishing last night's game other than the fact that he bitched to the media I'd love to hear it.
He is going to eventually lose the locker room if he keeps saying "you have to earn, your minutes" and then takes them away from those that earned them. Everyone in that locker room knows Tinsley is a better point guard than Watson.

The myth that Sloan was rigid and unwavering in his substitution patterns is not only incorrect - it's almost laughable to the point I wonder which team Jazz fans were watching for the past 15 years.Unfortunately, Corbin is not his own man. He's got too much SLoan blood in him. He should have learned from SLoan not only what to do....but what NOT to do! I never bought into SLoan's substitution patterns based on the clock. Substitutions should be based on quality of play, matchups but not just the time on the clock!
This forum goes silly when the Jazz lose. I mean, absolutely bonkers.
devin harris is also better, i dont get why he was benched.
