Derrick Favors (back) participated during shootaround, although he remains doubtful to play Wednesday vs. the Knicks.
Utah has been sparse with the updates regarding Favors, and it'll be interesting to see if there's any change to his status leading up to the tip. If he's not able to give it a go, Trey Lyles will continue to start with Gordon Hayward doing the heavy lifting on offense. Stay tuned.

I've never seen so many game-time-decisions regarding a guy's playing status in my life.

With Boozer it was always he'll be out until "X" and then "X" kept getting pushed back.

Really getting strange - but I can't hazard a guess as to it being anything else than what they say it is.

Thanks. It was 14 years ago, so I can make the joke and not feel bad about it. Besides, my mother knew I had a warped sense of humor. She'd probably die laughing if she heard the joke...well, if she weren't dead already, that is.
 
Newsflash...Jazz just announced Derrick Favors has completed his training and has been promoted to Tank Commander.

This is so strange. They said he participated in shoot around but did anyone see him on the bench. Exum was there and you saw him during huddles and walking into the locker room, but I didn't see Favors. Anyone else see him?

Yes, I saw him on TV. Favors was behind the bench cheering for the team. Not very useful though.
 
This is starting to get weird. I'm starting to wonder if he'll play again. This can't just be a back spasm, right?? Do they last this long in an athlete like Favors?? At this rate Burks will come back before Favors.
 
I wonder what the record number of games missed for "back spasms" is?

This is ruining the season. Slipping into the 7th or 8th seed only to get drawn, quartered, and eaten by GSW or SAS is ****.
 
I wonder what the record is for most games missed in a row from an injury that didn't require surgery.

If it ends up that they held him out because of a trade, I will have a very hard time rooting for this team again. That is shady and only something New York or LA markets would do.
 
I'd be really surprised if it were a trade, but mark me down in the category of people who don't think this can all be explained by a bad lower back.
