Is Kanter a throw away piece?

I cant understand why people keep making up trade after trade, and thread after thread about bringing in different bigs without having enough bigs going out.

We spent a 3rd overall pick on this guy.

It seems that no one has any interest in getting this guy on the court. If we arent going to use him, then we should trade him( which Im against). Its moronic to spend that on a guy you arent going to play. We might as well have traded out of that pick or down, and picked up something else.

This guy at the very least should be given substantial minutes as a third big. To think that we might have him as a fourth big for any amount of more time makes me sick.

I dont care if he hasnt proven anything or not. You dont pick that high and never see what he can do. All in the name of getting blasted in the first round with Millsap and Al hogging all the minutes.

So tell me, why are Jazzfanz so comfortable with letting him rot on the bench. Not to mention he is prett good already.

If we are going to trade Jefferson then we may as well bring in another big like Kaman or maybe someone worse who could play 10-12 minutes a game. Millsap could play a little at the 3, that opens up a lot more minutes for Kanter.

Well, problem is that Big AL and Favors are better then him. So there is no more minutes available for Kanter yet. Maybe thats the plan Jazz had all along, let Big AL contract expire and then handle reigns to Kanter. In the mean time he should be patient and work hard. If he is really good his time will come.

I can't stand the thought of Kanter only getting 13mpg again next year. Something needs to happen.

I think he was the youngest player in the league last season. If not, definitely one of the youngest. We need to give him a little time to mature. This will be a nice year for him with training camp and a full season.

That's a reppable request (pos for you) .. but I have to wait.

My guess is KOC is waiting to see how much Kanter improves before he trades Al. If he looks ready for 20mpg, I think we'll deal Al around Christmas. At least, that's what I'm hoping.

I hope that's not true .. I mean, I would hope we trade him at the first reasonable opportunity.

Kanter will definitely get more minutes this year. But is he ready for big minutes? Hard to know until we see him play this year.

I'd prefer that , too, but I think my earlier statement is a more realistic hope. I have full confidence in Kanter, but I think KOC likes to play it safe and will want to make sure he's ready.

:mad::mad:I wanted to trade Jefferson and Harris away for late 1sts and cap space last season, letting Kanter and Favors have plenty of minutes while all but assuring the Jazz a fifth or better pick in the draft and GSW's #9.:mad::mad:

Kantor, Favors
Favors, Millsap
Williams,Hayward, Barnes, Favors
Hayward, Burks, Favors
Mo, Lillard, Burks, Favors

That team gives me something to get excited over.
