Terrorist groups and dictatorships rarely are the "majority." They're usually the minority. However, they rely on the majority to be passive and/or distracted by other issues to not openly oppose them.

Ex: Hitler laid out practically everything he did during his rule in Meij Kampf. However, people were either too busy trying to find jobs, find food, find friends, relive the past glorious years of Germany, etc to read and notice what he was doing. Some, were sympathetic too. Anti-semitism, paranoia towards socialists, feminists, and immigrants, reigned. Hitler and his minority party relied on the majority to remain passive as he progressed in his ways...

Hamas isn't supported by the majority in Palestine. The majority is passive enough because they're too poor to be concerned much with politics or they're sympathetic enough to Hamas to not openly protest their extreme ways.

Honestly, a lot of this can be blamed on Israel. Israel, just like us, can have d bag extremist leaders. They've entered a phase of Bush-like arrogance and expansion. Building luxurious condos sometimes literally across the street from starving Palestinians probably isn't the best way to build bridges between the two nations. And it only gives Hamas a breeding ground for new recruits. Israel striking back and killing a few Hamas but torching a school or hospital doesn't help either.

If there is to be peace I think ultimately, Israel will need to compromise and work to build a bridge first. Perhaps even foreign aid to build their infrastructure and education. Keep people working and reading to eliminate the despair. Take away the despair and you take away Hamas' recruiting pool.

First, if you think Israel is richer than Taliban and likes, you are wrong. Oil and drug money are beyond what Israel is capable of.

Second, to claim that extremist, fundamentalist Muslim regimes hold a higher moral ground on Israel is the same as claiming Hitler was more moral the Churchill. You are leading and misleading when claiming that regimes which support death more the life are more moral. When you say that, you support people being hanged, shot, raped, mutilated and enslaved instead of people being judged by law. I think the Israeli officers were stupid to react the way they did on the video you posted. They will be under investigation for that by internal affairs for sure, especially when it is documented.
Hamas on the other hand, use this video to scare people from criticizing them. I think that young american jewish boy will not try to go to Gaza and do the same over there - no if he feel any emotions toward keeping his head attached to the rest of his body.

Again - ignorant, dangerous and even down right stupid to think that Israel is morally lower than Hamas.
