Locke just tweeted this stuff again:
Since Dec 18th - Jazz big man defensive rating w Kanter.
League Average 103.7
Kanter/Gobert 100.4
Kanter/Favors 101.7
Kanter/Booker 103.3
What about Gobert/Favors?
What about Gobert/Favors?
I tweeted the exact same question to Locke about the tweet. I would suspect that Gobert/Favors is better than any of these lineups.
True but no sense making a deal that ends up ebing worse than keeping Kanter. I'd really like to know what teams are calling.
Interested in this as well. Would be ironic if Favors had a worse impact on defense... fools gold. Albeit I doubt that's the case. What about Gobert/Favors?
Goose getting ducked by the Jazz.My test just tucked me, now the jazz going to duck me too.

It is really pathetic that after years of bashing Kanter he now comes to his rescue to try and save face in the event a trade is not made. This is a purposely deceitful use of statistics that confirms what anti numbers guys try and argue, data can be manipulated to make an argument. Locke is a disgrace to the analytic's community and should just stop trying to be Kevin Pelton. I am sure he has not been educated in analytic's and is just trying to hop on coat tails to sound smart and justify his position.

To Kanter's defense (pun intended), he has been playing better of late. He's never going to a great defender, but he has improved. I just wish the Gobert, Favors, Kanter trio could have remained intact for years: that's quite the rotation. But when you have three players wanting to be starters, something has to give, just as it did when Millsap was let go so Favors could start.I have a degree in statistics. The numbers he is citing are pointless. They say nothing about Kanter's defensive ability, which actually doesn't require a degree in statistics to understand.
