Jackpotting Around: A Utah Jazz Podcast

Finally got around to listening. Great job. Good pace, pleasant sounding voices, will look out for more.
Also love the homage to Jerry, one of my favorite sports figures of all time.
Thank you so much! This brought a smile to my face. Much appreciated!

Have you guys considered reaching out to PKM for sponsorship? :p

"This episode of Jackpotting Around is brought to you by irresponsible amounts of development in a fire-heavy, wildland–urban interface area with insufficient water so we tappin' the super-stressed Colorado. Cool. Enjoy."

first time in my >10 years on teh JFC that I've seen posters try to expand out of here to hit another medium -- it's cool to see and it's good for everyone involved. in my heyday of posting I didn't see either of yours post very much but you both carry the community now in a positive sense. wishing the best, I'll listen later this week. A good idea for a 3rd episode would be asking @andylarsen to guest -- I think he'd say yes.

Thank you! We are hoping to book some cool guests... stay tuned.

I have a task I do daily at work where I take 1 gram of product and mix it with 100 grams of buffer solution and then extract 1 milliliter of that mix and place it on a petrifilm which goes into an incubator for 24 hours and then gets checked to see if any Enterobacteriaceae grows.
And repeat hundreds of times. Very monotonous and repetitive.

This podcast was the perfect length to go along with this task. It was easy to listen to and follow along to despite myself not being very knowledgeable about non jazz nba stuff. Both voices are good but Chads voice was a little clearer and softer, im thinking due to the audio equipment being used.
The very very beginning was a little rough just because of a few too many "uhs" and "ums" but thats to be expected and you were both really quick and articulate going forward. I saw some people suggest going with a more scripted feel but I liked the flow you had. Its ok to linger too long on a topic if that happens organically. I like that you both were really good about not talking over each other or interrupting each other.
Could have been fun when discussing the trades to have one person propose the trade as danny ainge and the other person make counter offers or tweaks as the gm of the other team. I know you kind of did that a little but I would have liked you to lean into it a bit more.
As for the actual content, i liked most of the proposed trades. Mostly just because you involved the right players and didn't involve the right players. Its clear to me that Collins, KO, and clarkson should be the ones to be traded (though collins probably isn't realistic)
I heard you guys talk a bit about Ochai and didn't even mention Transition Ochai! Gotta talk about regular Ochai's alter ego if you are going to bring him up imo.

All in all it was a good listen despite the content being something im not particularly interested in (trade talks) so good job. Maybe change the logo from a basketball on the backboard to a jazz note. (would take away from the clean look a little maybe though)

What is the frequency gonna look like for these? 1 a week? 1 a month? Make sure to post the next one in this thread. I will be sure to continue to listen.

It’s gonna get real rough later on with the “ooooohs” and “ahhhhs” when they move to the 21+ content.

Great feedback fish. Thank you so much. Chad’s audio is clearer for sure I am looking into getting a better mic. Frequency will likely be weekly going forward but coming up we have a couple episodes planned so maybe twice a week.
