Jazz 2017/18 Playoff Bus! All Aboard!

Spurs might be hard to catch unless LA goes down again, but they have a tough schedule so I have hope.

Spurs have the toughest schedule in the West (probably NBA http://www.playoffstatus.com/nba/westernsosrg.html). They have 2 games left against teams that are below .500. Jazz could be 1 1/2 games behind them after tomorrow night with the tiebreaker. If Jazz do well to close out the season, I feel they are one of the teams Jazz are more likely to pass.

Back in '95, I was pissed off that the Jazz waived a 4-time All-Star, too. And a native Utahn, to boot.
Chambers? I remember when we signed him. I told my older brother who didn’t believe me at all. Was thinking we were getting the Chambers from a few years previous.

Ah...1995. That year, the Jazz could trot out the lineup of Stockton-Hornacek-Malone-Chambers-Donaldson. All 5 were All-Stars at some point. Too bad the average age was about 35.

Had to look up to be sure he was an all-star. His all-star year he put up 7 points (not a typo) and 9 boards. Damn.

He replaced a dude named Steve Johnson. Look him up, too. That either of these guys made it over Eaton that year is pretty sad.

Of course, this still doesn't beat 1994 and the first ASG that I ever watched. On tape, about a year later, mind you.

Kenny Anderson, Derrick Coleman and BJ Armstrong started for the East. Not one would play in another ASG, let alone start. And they weren't alone. Horace Grant, Mookie Blaylock, John Starks, and the corpse of Charles Oakley also played for the East. That's 7 freaking dudes who would never ever sniff an ASG again. On one team. At least the West only had Cliff Robinson in that category.

And it's not like these were replacements, either. Only Oakley was, because Alonzo got hurt. Clifford Robinson actually made it ahead of Gary Payton, who had to wait for Barkley to get hurt before he was named as a replacement.

Ah, Chambers. I had forgotten him. He graduated from my high school just a couple years after my younger brother. Lived in my neighborhood -- well, in the richer section -- after the NBA and even partnered with a co-worker to build a movie theatre. He sold his portion of the theatre and disappeared. I wonder what he is doing now?

rofl this playoff race is just insane.

have to take care of business in memphis. The grizz are hungry(the players) as hell for a win after their immense losing streak, im sure the FO is hoping for the tank to continue, rofl.

Celtics @ Wolves was 70-46 at halftime, so it wasn't even a game. Wolves are in serious trouble because they've lost 6 of their last 10 and their next games are:

vs Golden State
@ Washington
@ San Antonio
vs Houston
vs LA Clippers

38-29 and I don't see a single win there (38-34). Let's go beyond:
@ NY 39-34
@ Philadelphia 39-35 (philly at home can easily beat them)
vs Memphis 40-35
vs Atlanta 41-35
@ Dallas 42-35
vs Utah 42-36
@ Denver 42-37
@ Lakers 43-37 (I'll give them this win, but they'll probably lose)
vs Memphis 44-37
vs Denver 44-38

44-38. Jazz are 35-30, so a 10-7 finish would be enough.
