Jazz 2017/18 Playoff Bus! All Aboard!

rest of our schedule

vs MEM W
@ MIN W
vs LAL W
vs LAC W
@ LAL W
vs GSW W
@ POR L

@MIN should be the easiest win with the way they're playing defense and how tired they look on the court.
vs LAC and @LAL could be tricky and the Jazz may want to drop last game @POR to achieve a more favorable playoff matchup.

No chance that Minny will be the "easiest win" out of our remaining games. Comical. I agree with the rest of your predictions but I will not be at all surprised by a loss @ Minny.

With Butler out MIN is playing as bad as lottery teams. Jazz play better on the road and they'll bring their A-game vs MIN contrary to how they play vs usual lottery teams/scrubs, hence will grab the easiest win.

Most of Minnesota's problems are related to lack of effort, but against us there is a rivalry brewing so they give us their best. That game will be very difficult.

We have plenty of nights where we play like a lottery team. I will be shocked if it is an easy win. They know whats at stake just like we do and they have some great players not named Butler.

Several big games tonight:
Pels @ Cavs
Nuggets @ Thunder (although win-win, but I'm still prioritizing POs)
Wolves @ Mavs
Clippers @ Blazers (same here, but Blazers are probably out of reach anyway)
Grizzlies @ Jazz

Everything goes as planned tonight, we'll be tied with Pelicans for 6th, 2 games ahead of Clippers and 3 ahead of Nuggets. Half a game ahead of Wolves and half a game behind Spurs and a game behind Thunder.

If someone had made this statement two months ago we'd have all considered them an imbecile. How crazy (and wonderful) is it that it is a true statement at this point! Just need to tighten things up at home.

It's not all I do. I hope for the win, and more recently I even naturally expect a win. But expecting the win leads to a feeling of entitlement that makes a loss feel even worse for me. I don't want my fandom to overly negatively impact playing with my kids or spending time with my wife. So while I'm up for a game I also take a minute to go through the scenarios. "Ok, if we do lose tonight, we'll be at 33 losses, we'll still be X games ahead of ____ and X wins away from ____. There's still time." Then, if things are looking dour, I go back to that thought of "well, this won't eliminate us," or "this makes the upcoming Wolves game even more interesting." I still get pretty bummed out after a loss, like last night, but I don't snap at my kids or act cold at home just because of sports.
OMG. Sounds miserable.

I'd prefer to be tied with the Thunder and 2 games ahead of the Nuggets. Go Denver!

Jazz just need to do their job tonight and not have another letdown to a sub-par team. Just win, we can scoreboard watch afterwards and see where everything shakes out.

rushing back from surgery Jimmy Buttler, love the heart, but it sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.
