Do the players also not care about winning playoff series?
I don’t know how to look it up but I’m guessing that teams with homecourt win playoff series more often than the teams without it.



Also in the first round prediction thread I keep seeing people picking the jazz to win in 6. Those that are saying which specific games they think the jazz will win are saying the jazz will win 1 of the first 2 in okc and all the jazz home games. Seems like people think the jazz are more likely to win the games at home in this series than the games in okc.

I think the jazz (and every team in he history of the nba) want to have homecourt in the playoffs. Portland is just a good team at home with rest that played us on an off night and beat us. I definitely think that game mattered to the jazz.
 
I think there's no question they'd prefer HCA. At the same time, I don't think they were desperate for it. I think getting secured into the playoffs was a huge psychological burden lifted. I like the phrase "let go of the rope," which Doc Rivers used to describe what the Clippers did against the Jazz. All season they fought, but when they played Utah he said that's the first time he sensed them "let go of the rope." I think once we were secured into the playoffs the guys knew there was solid ground under their feet. They would've preferred to hang on a little longer, but if they let go they would land safely on the ground in the playoffs either way. But whatevs.
 
I've come to the conclusion that it's a whole lot easier to sit on the couch complaining about the team you are a fan of not winning every single game than it is to be a player on the floor trying to actually win every single game.

No doubt. After what the jazz have done this year its really shocking to me that people would be unhappy with almost anything about the team.
I mean about the only complaint i conjure up if i try really hard is crowders shot selection. Thats really it and its minor.

Yeah, I hate his early in the shot clock 3s. I don't know what his 3pt% is but I never feel good about that shot.

Want to say yes but I’m terrified that I’m misunderstanding your question

Bullet and I both have a week of soon (not next week but the week after) and will hopefully get together for a jazz game. Hopefully you can come out too.

Internet is good to go. Cannot do satellite TV in my place and AT&T SportsNet is not on streaming services. Looking at DirectTV Now and then just finding Jazz games online next season.

If anyone has any insight or a streaming service AND the AT&T Sportsnet games let me know...

I’ve been buying games on the NBA app despite the blackout and they’re still playing. Been doing that for like two months.

I switched my time off to next week, 16-20. That way I can be ready for the poker game on the 21st.

I have another table to reupholster, 10 chairs to reupholster, my kegerator to repaint, my house to clean (I'm a huge slob, so this isn't a small thing), food to prep, my yard to deal with, a batch of beer to keg. I have a solid week worth of stuff to do before I can have people over here.

I guess Kevin McHale is back to being a Celtics homer after getting canned by two franchises .

TNT might as well have Tommy Heinson doing color for this game.
